About 30 NDMC schools will adopt Smart Classes under the Digital India initiative of the Modi Government. Read the entire report here.
As many as 30 New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) schools will educate its students by means of ‘smart classes’. The digital platform will be installed over 440 classrooms of these schools under Phase I.
Seen as a part of the Union Government’s Digital India initiative, a Memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the NDMC and Extra marks Education, which is a digital learning solution provider.
The content provided at the digital platform will be for students of both Hindi and English medium sections of Class VI to Class XII.
The initiative was inaugurated at one of the beneficiary schools at Kidwai Nagar in South Delhi on October 5. The inauguration ceremony was carried out by Union Minister of Urban Development, Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation, Venkaiah Naidu along with Minister of State for Statistics & Programme Implementation, Rao Inderjit Singh and Chairperson of NDMC, Naresh Kumar.
The digital partner Extra Marks Education will be responsible for supply, installation, commission and function of the hardware. It will also upload the digital educational content on the platform.
With the launch of this digital initiative, another feather has been added to the hat of Modi’s government as they inch a step closer to achieving the digital India initiative along with complete literacy.
