Aditya Institute of Management Studies & Research, Aditya College of Architecture and Aditya College of Design Studies jointly celebrated the women’s day.
Aditya Group of Institutions celebrated the International Women’s Day in its auditorium to honour the spirit of womanhood. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Dr. Snehalata Deshmukh, renowned pediatrician and former Vice Chancellor, Mumbai University. The Guest of Honour was Ms. Shweta Shalini, entrepreneur and BJP spokesperson for Maharashtra.
Aditya Institute of Management Studies & Research, Aditya College of Architecture and Aditya College of Design Studies jointly celebrated the women’s day. The heads of the three institutions, Dr. Seema Tatwawadi, Director, AIMSR; Ar. Aparna Surve, Principal, ACA and Ar. Rasika Chodankar, Principal, ACDS welcomed the dignitaries and the programme started with lighting of the auspicious lamp and rendering of “Ganesh Vandana”. The students of ACA performed a classical dance to the rendering of Ganesh Vandana.
Dr. Seema Tatwawadi gave the welcome address to the programme. Dr. Snehalata Deshmukh and Ms. Shweta Shalini in their speeches guided the girl students and the audience in kindling the power of self assurance within oneself. Dr. Snehalata Deshmukh added that physical shortcomings should not be a barrier to a woman’s success. She gave an analogy and said that mental height is more important than physical height and students should strive to achieve academic excellence which would lead to self empowerment.
The celebrations were enjoyed by all with a skit and song honouring the women, performed by the students.
The programme concluded with felicitation and vote of thanks to the dignitaries.
