AEEE Exam Pattern

AEEE 2018 Exam Pattern- Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam (AEEE) 2018 is conducted both online and offline by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham every year on an All India level for admission to 4-year B.Tech Degree programs to its campuses. through AEEE 2018, admission to undergraduate engineering courses are offered in the three campuses at Amritapuri (Kollam), Bengaluru and Ettimadai (Coimbatore).

The candidate can choose any mode of examination ie; online and offline. The AEEE Application form will be available from the last week of October 2017  and candidates can start applying online from December 2017. In April 2018, the entrance examination test will be conducted by the University for the candidates. Candidates should know the AEEE 2018 Important Dates so that  they won't miss any of the important events

AEEE 2018 Exam Pattern

The exam pattern of AEEE 2018 will define the internal structure of the exam.The exam pattern will include the mode of exam, subjects that are covered, marking system and other aspects. The candidates can perform well in the examination after knowing everything about AEEE 2018 Exam pattern.The AEEE 2018 will be conducted in two modes ie; Computer Based  Test (CBT) and Paper&Pencil Based Test. the candidate can choose any of them among these modes as per their preference of choice. the candidates who are seeking admission in engineering stream through AEEE 2018 must know about the Exam pattern of AEEE 2018 for better preparation for the exam and to crack the exam.

  • The examination will be held in two modes i.e.; Online and Offline mode.
  • The questions will be objective type
  • Total duration of the exam will be of 3 hours
  • There is negative marking. for each wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted
  • For every right answer, 3 marks will be awarded to the candidate.
  • There will be total 130 questions for AEEE 2018. Out of it, 35 questions will be from chemistry, 35 from physics and 50 questions from mathematics.
  • No marks will be awarded if a candidate doesn’t indicate his/her response in the answer sheet against a question.
  • If any candidate indicates more than one answer to a question, it will be treated as incorrect answer and negative marks will be awarded.
  • It is advisable that the candidates should only attempt those questions which they are confident about the answer.

AEEE 2018 Computer Based Test (CBT):

  the candidates should be a computer savvy in order to complete all the questions as there will be 100 questions to be answered. the candidates in different slots will get different questions and they have to complete the test within the time given to them. the candidates should mark/select the right answer from the given choices during the test. 

AEEE 2018  Paper& Pencil Based Test (P&P):

The P&P mode of AEEE 2018 question paper will be a printed booklet of questions in four different versions. The question booklet will contain 100 multiple choice questions. The answers should be marked in printed OMR answer sheet. Candidates should carry black ball point pen, HB pencils, pencil sharpener and eraser with them.

AEEE Syllabus

AEEE 2018 Syllabus comprises topics from three subjects - Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Candidates should be aware of the syllabus which will be asked for the examination of AEEE 2018. The marking system and structure will be based on the preference and importance of the subjects in the syllabus. The syllabus provides the complete details of the subjects and sessions which are to be prepared well to crack the AEEE 2018.
