AIE - Conducted Right to Education National Seminar

The central point of the national seminar is "Equal Rights and Opportunities for Social Participation of Students from Marginalized Sections of the Society”


Amity Institute of Education (AIE), Saket, New Delhi arranged Right to Education national seminar on October 7, 2015. The objective of national seminar is to support advancement & alteration in the teaching-learning process for the marginalized.

The Seminar was sponsored by Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), which promotes research in social sciences in the country. The seminar was inspired by the intense concern for the underserved and the strong inclination of Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan –Founder President and Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan- Chairperson of Amity Group of Schools towards philanthropic values.

The seminar was inaugurated by the Prof. Anand P. Gupta, Director, Economic Management Institute, New Delhi, and Member, Board of Directors, IC Centre for Governance, New Delhi and many more.

Eminent speakers were present in the National seminar, where they accentuated on the important need of the erudite minds in teaching. The speakers believe that Right to Education should be executed at all levels, Sensitization of teachers towards education as an apparatus for liberation, teachers to act as messengers, nurturers and liberators.

Eleven Universities took participation in the national seminar, 2015. The seminar comprises following four sessions:

  • First technical session on “Understanding Poverty, Gender Inequality and Social Inclusion
  • Technical Session on Strategies for Equity and Social Inclusion
  • Role of government, NGO’s and other Agencies for Equity and Social Inclusion”
  • “Education for All – Promoting Equity and Social Inclusion

In the end the seminar had a deep discussion on the subject and tries to illuminate the importance of free and compulsory education for children also it imparted a stage to ponder on the education of marginalized and underserved sections of the society and needs to upgrade the institutions offering them education.
