AIIMS MBBS 2017

AIIMS MBBS entrance exam 2017 is computer-based competitive entrance examination, which is conducted by All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) every year for admission to its Bachelors of Medicine and Bachelors of Surgery programme. The programme is available at 7 campuses of AIIMS- AIIMS New Delhi, AIIMS Bhopal, AIIMS Raipur, AIIMS Bhubaneswar, AIIMS Jodhpur, AIIMS Rishikesh and AIIMS Patna.

AIIMS MBBS entrance exam is conducted pan-India in approximately 171 cities across various states. 672 seats are available for the MBBS programme at AIIMS New Delhi and 6 other AIIMS campuses.

AIIMS MBBS 2017 Application

Candidates who wish to apply for AIIMS MBBS 2017 entrance exam can apply online by visiting the official website of AIIMS MBBS-2017 at http://mbbs.aiimsexams.org/ .

Points to remember while filling the online application:

  • Read all instructions mentioned in the prospectus and the help manual carefully
  • Leave no column blank, incomplete applications will be rejected
  • Any kind of change in the application will be possible, once the application is submitted
  • Once the application is completed, save and download the registration slip and preserve it till the end of the admission process
  • The registration fee is INR 1000 for General and OBC candidates and INR 800 for SC/ST candidates

AIIMS MBBS 2017 Eligibility Criteria

  • Should have passed 10+2 or any other equivalent examination from a recognized board/university
  • Should have Physics, Chemistry, English and Biology as subjects in their last qualifying examination
  • Minimum marks required for AIIMS MBBS 2017 is 60% for General and OBC candidates and 50% for SC/ST/OPH candidates
  • Aspirants should have attained the age of 17 years before the end of December 31, 2017

AIIMS MBBS 2017 Selection Process

  • 1 mark will be awarded for every right answer and one-third (1/3) mark will be deducted for every wrong answer
  • Scores of the competitive entrance examination will be considered raw and will be used to make a merit list
  • Candidates need to clear the cut-offs defined by the institute for every category

AIIMS MBBS 2017 Exam Centres and Exam Pattern

The AIIMS MBBS 2017 competitive entrance examination will conducted in two shifts in 171 cities across all Indian states. It is a computer-based exam and the duration of the examination will be 3 hours 30 minutes.

  • Morning Shift: 9 AM to 12.30 PM
  • Evening Shift: 3PM to 6.30 PM

Exam Pattern:

The paper will consist of 200 multiple-choice questions, which will be distributed in the following way:

  • Physics- 60 questions
  • Chemistry- 60 questions
  • Biology (Zoology & Botany)- 60 questions
  • General Knowledge/Aptitude- 20 questions

AIIMS MBBS 2017 Important Dates

AIIMS MBBS 2017 Syllabus

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences has not prescribed syllabus for AIIMS MBBS 2017. The questions in the entrance exam will be asked from the standard syllabus of 10+2. Students can refer to the following topics:

Physics:

  • Motion
  • Measurement
  • Circular Motion
  • Wave Motion
  • Kinetic Theory of Gases, etc

Chemistry:

  • Structure of Atom
  • Electricity
  • Energetic
  • Chemical Equilibrium
  • Periodic properties of Elements, etc

For Biology,candidates can prepare Zoology and Botany topics.

AIIMS MBBS 2017 Admit Card

The AIIMS MBBS 2017 admit card will be available for download on the website in the month of April and May 2017 prior to the exam. Candidates can download their admit cards by entering their candidate ID and password.

Before downloading the admit card, check the following information and contact the AIIMS MBBS -2017 helpline in case of any discrepancy:

  • Personal Details like Name, Father's Name, etc
  • Roll No. & Slot (morning/evening)
  • Examination Venue and address
  • Signature and photograph

AIIMS MBBS 2017 Results

All India Institute of Medical Sciences is expected to release the results of AIIMS MBBS 2016 in the month of June 2017. Candidates can check their results on the official website of AIIMS MBBS- 2017 after entering their candidate ID and password. A merit list will be released soon after the declaration of the results and students will be called for counselling on the basis of this merit list.

AIIMS MBBS 2017 Counselling

The counselling for 672 MBBS seats across the 7 campuses of AIIMS will take place at AIIMS New Delhi. Selection process and date of counselling will be intimated to the candidates through the official website. There will be three counselling sessions and one open counselling for all the students left for admission.

Classes will commence in the month of July 2017.
