AILET 2018 Important Dates

The National Law University (NLU), Delhi has announced the All Indian Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2018 exam date. The exam is required for admission to the undergraduate and postgraduate courses like Five Year B.A.LL.B (Hons.), One Year LL.M and Ph.D programmes that the university and affiliated institutes offer.

Since the exam is conducted on the first Sunday of May every year, this year also, AILET is going to be organized on May 6, 2018 – the first Sunday of the month. Notably, the exam will be of 1 hour and 30 minutes and will at 3 PM.

Though the official announcement on other important dates of AILET 2018 has not been made as of now, meanwhile, we would provide you with the tentative dates of AILET 2018.

Let's find out the application procedure of AILET 2018:

AILET 2018 Application Procedure

Interest candidates should visit the official website of the National Law University (NLU), Delhi in order to register for AILET 2018.

Fill up all the required details including the mobile number, email ID and a passport size photograph. Remember, the candidate is required to mention a valid mobile number and email ID as all the further communications will be made via mobile and email.

After the completion of AILET 2018 registration, fill in all the mandatory information required in the AILET 2018 application form.

Make the payment of the prescribed application fee to complete the AILET 2018 application process.

The applicant can pay the fee via online mode using the Credit card, Debit card or through Net banking. The AILET 2018 application fee can also be paid through the offline mode by depositing a cash at the nearest post-office. The candidate is required to generate a cash deposit slip, which is to be payable at the post-office.

Once the application fee is successfully paid, the candidate will receive a confirmation email, which indicates that AILET registration has been completed.

Before applying for AILET 2018 exam, the candidate must be aware of the eligibility criteria for AILET 2018 and check if s/he is eligible for the aforementioned exam. Check out the eligibility for AILET 2018 here:

AILET 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Since AILET 2018 is required to pursue multiple courses like BA LLB, LLM and PhD, the eligibility criteria vary as per the courses. Take a look at the course wise eligibility here:

BA LLB:

The applicant must complete 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from a recognised board.

LLM:

The candidate is required to have an LLB or any other equivalent degree from a university recognised by the Bar Council of India (BCI). The applicant must have secured a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate, 50% marks in aggregate in case of students belonging to SC, ST or PWD category.

PhD:

The candidate must hold the LLM or equivalent degree from a BCI recognised university. Just like the LLM course, the candidate must secure minimum 55% marks in aggregate for Ph.D programme as well. Besides, reserved category candidates will get the relaxation of 5% marks.
