AILET 2018 Participating Colleges

AILET is a law entrance exam conducted by the National Law University (NLU), New Delhi. The exam is conducted to for the aspirants looking forward to taking admission to LLB, LLM and Ph.D. programmes offered by NLU, New Delhi and other participating colleges. Candidates successfully clearing AILET 2018 exam will get their names in the merit list for counselling and further admission round. NLU Delhi will be conducting AILET in May 2018. The exam for BA LLB course will be of one and a half hours where candidates will need to solve 150 questions. As per AILET exam pattern 2018, the questions will be from five sections including English, Basic Mathematics, General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning and Legal Aptitude.

On the basis of AILET 2018 result, candidates will be able to score admission to NLU Delhi and other five participating colleges. Basically, the exam will be conducted for 83 BA LLB seats and 40 LLM seats at NLU Delhi. The number of applicants for the exam is way higher than the total number of seats available at NLU Delhi. So, the candidates who are not able to get admission to the National Law University Delhi can try their luck in other law colleges and universities accepting AILET 2018 score.

NLU has a total intake of 123 students for BA LLB and LLB courses. The total fee for BA LLB programme at NLU is INR 7,60,000. Apart from regular studies, the college also focuses on cultural and dramatic events, debates and other extracurricular activities. Here candidates also get research topics on various subjects like the death penalty, E-Pathshala etc.

Reservation policy for AILET 2018

NLU Delhi is governed by the State Act, abiding by which the law college needs to reserve seats for candidates from different categories and regions. The college has some reserved quota of seats for candidates from reserved categories, foreign students, and candidates from Kashmir region. Candidates must check the reservation quota to apply in the right category.

ITM University, Gwalior

The college has the capacity for 60 law students. Candidates taking admission at ITM University, Gwalior need to pay INR 70,000 per year. Candidates looking for financial assistance can also apply for the scholarship as the college offers scholarships up to 20% of the total fee.

The Northcap University, Gurgaon

Northcap University, Gurgaon offers undergraduate law programme of five years for which the college charges total fees of INR 7,05,000. To help students effectively work on research projects with the help of the internet, the college provides round the clock Wi-Fi connectivity both in college campus as well as in hostels. Apart from regular studies, the college also focuses on extracurricular activities like sports events at national level. The college also promises the students to offer 100% placement.

IFIM Law College, Bangalore

The college offers five years law programme and accepts AILET scores. Overall fees of the college for five-year law programme is INR 6,50,000. Candidates looking for financial assistance through scholarship can get help up to 50% of tuition fee. The college has highly qualified and experienced international faculty. It also organises international conferences and workshops to help students get acquainted with the professional work environment across the world. Students here also get opportunities to be a part of conversations with the legal luminaries.

Ramaiah Institute of Legal Studies, Bangalore

Ramaiah Institute of Legal Studies is one of AILET 2018 participating colleges. Having a total of 60 law seats, the college offers five years programme for a fee of INR 6.75 lakh. Candidates who want to participate in other activities like national level inter-college fests; case law workshops etc. must give this college a preference after NLU, Delhi. Medico-legal workshops, moot courts, social programs and legal seminars are some other extracurricular activities students can participate in at Ramaiah Institute of Legal Studies.

An exposure to the functioning of the state bar council and the bar council of India is the USP of this college. Students here also get the opportunity to visit other countries for their research projects.

Usha Martin Academy, Jharkhand

Having a total intake of 263 students, Usha Martin Academy in Jharkhand also accepts AILET score for law programme. Candidates who are not able to make it to National Law University, Delhi can apply for admission at Usha Martin Academy. Students of this college are said to get campus placement with up to 7 lakh package.

Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, New Law College, Pune

This is a new addition to the list of AILEt participating colleges. The college offers both undergraduate and postgraduate law courses. Candidates seeking admission to this college need to pass AILET 2018 exam.

So, the candidates who don’t get their names in AILET 2018 merit list for NLU, Delhi counselling round can try their luck in the above-mentioned AILET participating colleges.
