Alleviate hunger, save the poor: an inspiring Food Drive conducted by Management students

"Free Food Drives" of IHM, Pusa was initiated in the year 2014 and getting enormous response since then!

India is home to the largest number of hungry people in the world. In the ranking of the Global Hunger Index 2008 it covers position 66 out of 88 ranked countries and has an “alarming“ food security situation.
Feeling the urge to serve for these people, in the wake up increasing deaths in India due to hunger, a bunch of youngsters from Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), PusaNew Delhi, took the responsibility of diminishing the current status of poor in the capital, on their young shoulders, by hosting "Free Food Drives" at various places in the Capital.
This was started in 2014, individually by a few youngsters, which soon gained popularity. They regularly host such drives, by collecting funds from their fellow mates and friends. These people wish to use the "Culinary knowledge we earn from the institute for a good cause".
While serving the people
Utmost care is taken to procure, process and prepare the food keeping in mind all the hygiene and quality standard to deliver healthy and safe food to the masses. Enough food is prepared so as to feed atleast a 1000 people adequately. 
The entire team
Their vision is to slowly gain momentum further, engage more people and make the food available to more and more people more frequently and do their bit in eradicating hunger from the capital.
