Amity Inaugurates 18th Inter Amity Institutions Sports Meet ‘Sangathan 2016’

18th Inter Amity Institutions Sports Meet ‘Sangathan 2016’ was hosted to mark Amity’s Founder’s Day.

Amity University to mark the founder’s day and to ensure good physical fitness of its students, inaugurated 18th Inter Amity Institutions Sports Meet ‘Sangathan 2016’
The tradition of celebrating a month long sports meet on the birthday of Dr. Ashok K Chauhan- Founder President, Amity Group, was well executed this year too which marked the felicitation of the winners of various sports events.
The meet witnesses 5, 000 students from institutions of all Amity campuses located across India and abroad enthusiastically participate in more than 20 sports activities including Hockey, Cricket, Football, Tennis, Swimming, Squash along with the Vintage Games, vying for the coveted glistening Sangathan Trophy. The faculty and staff members also participate in various sports events including shooting, archery, racing, chess etc. during Sangathan.
The inaugural ceremony commenced with the lighting of the ‘Sangathan Mashaal’ by Dr. (Mrs.) Balvinder Shukla- Vice Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh in the presence of Directors/HoDs and senior officials of Amity. The Mashaal was carried to various campuses of Amity from Sector-125 to Sector-44 and Greater Noida by the students of various institutions.

 The inauguration was followed by a friendly Table Tennis match played between management and students of Amity.
