‘Milk Adulteration Testing Kit’ developed by Amity University scientists can detect milk adulteration in 10 seconds.

Scientists of Amity University, by creating a benchmark, have developed India’s first handheld and chemical free ‘Milk Adulteration Testing Kit’.
 
Well-known in the industry for their research prowess and frugal innovations, this testing kit of amity scientists can easily detect milk adulteration within 10 seconds.
 
This revolutionary Technology was transferred to Everest Instruments Pvt. Ltd., Ahmedabad in the presence of Dr. Ashok K Chauhan- Founder President, Amity Group, Mr. Ajit Patel, Managing Director, Everest Instruments Pvt. Ltd and Mr. Parimal Patel, Director, Everest Instruments Pvt. Ltd at Amity University Campus, Noida.
 
 
 
 
 
The invention is the result of hard labour and dedication of more than one year under the guidance of Dr. Ashish Mathur, Asst. Professor, Amity Institute of Nanotechnology. He was assisted by Dr. Shikha Wadhwa- Asst. Professor, Amity Institute of Nanotechnology, Mr. Rathin Gupta- M Tech Student and Dr. R.P.Singh- Advisor, Amity Institute of Nanotechnology, to make this happen.
While addressing the gathering, Dr. Ashish Mathur, Asst. Professor, Amity Institute of Nanotechnology had briefed about the kit. He thanked the entire team for all the support extended during the project. He then highlighted the benefits of the kit, said that the kit is non-hazardous, cost-effective, transportable, user-friendly with no requirement of elaborate laboratory set-up. Anyone can easily use this kit without any skill or training. Further, he stressed that 2.2 ml of milk sample is required and the result comes out in 10 seconds through an app on the users’ mobiles. The Kit has already been used to detect adulteration in fresh and packaged milk. 
 
 
 
 
Mr. Ajit Patel, Managing Director, Everest Instruments Pvt. Ltd., mentioned that though his company has been dealing in such device but the kit prepared by Amity scientists is more user-friendly that anyone can use at a very affordable cost. He praised the work of the scientists as well.
 
 
 
Dr. Ashok K Chauhan- Founder President, Amity Group shared that the scientists and researchers of Amity University have filed over 697 patents and the aim is to commercialize 80% of them for the benefit of common man.
