NSS Volunteers come forward to spread awareness about cleanliness and hygiene
The National Service Scheme (NSS) of the Amity University Rajasthan, Jaipur organized Amity Swachchhata Abhiyan at Chandwaji on 30th September 2015.
The welcome address was delivered by Brig. (Retd) G.S. Rathore, OSD. Others invited included Smt. Saroj Devi Meena, Sarpanch, Chandwaji, Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof.S. L. Kothari Amity University Rajasthan, Dean Academics Prof. Gupta, ward panchs, villagers and NSS volunteers for this important campaign.
Prof. S. L. Kothari encouraged the villagers to come forward to maintain the village in a neat and clean manner. The local residents should try and follow it what the NSS volunteers have been initiating. Dr. Vinod Singh Gour, Program Coordinator, NSS, AUR informed the villagers that they were grateful to the management and officials of AUR for the support to conduct successful events of NSS.
An awareness rally was also flagged off by Prof. Kothari and Prof. Gupta in the presence of all the villagers and leaders. Later on the volunteers cleaned the main road with brooms.
During this event, NSS Program Officers Dr. Ratnadeep Roy, Dr. Manoj Kumar,Dr. Prashant Mishra and Mr. Girish Paliwal along with Dr. J. S. Sohal, ShriVikas Chouhan and Shri Maal Singh were present to motivate the volunteers. The event ended with vote of thanks by Dr. Prashant Mishra, Program officer NSS.
