Annual Sports Meet at Jaipur National University

Jaipur National University concluded its six-day Annual Sports Meet JOSH, 2015 with the prize distribution ceremony.

The six-day Annual Sports Meet JOSH, 2015 of Jaipur National University concluded with the prize distribution ceremony. On the occasion Chief Guest and Chancellor Dr. Sandeep Bakshi felicitated the players and gave away the medals and certificates to the participants and the winners.

Speaking on this occasion Chancellor Dr. Bakshi congratulated the winners and all the participants for their outstanding performance and said that such events gives students a platform to show their talents and helps in improving their overall development. Dr. Bakshi motivated the budding players to keep up the good work and to play hard and bring laurels to the society and nation in future. He enlightened that the university provides scholarships for deserving students in sports and financial incentives to outstanding sports persons who aims at promoting the sports culture and giving an impetus to the budding player to build their career in their respective areas.

Presiding over the function Vice Chancellor Prof. H.N. Verma highlighted the sports achievements of the University and said that the university has the credit of producing many national level players. Our players (both boys and girls team) have achieved many mile stone by winning gold medals in sports tournament.

The six days Sports Meet witnessed around 2000 students from 12 different schools and sparkling performance of different sports events held in all three campuses of the University. The volleyball match was won by the SIILAS Campus in both boys and girls section, Kho-Kho match by boys team of SIILAS and Girls team of SADTM campus, the football match by Main campus and the Basketball match won by SIILAS in boys group and main campus and SADTM jointly in girls. In other sports event in individual categories winner in both boys and girls Eshak Khan and Divya won the long jump, Table Tennis by Pankaj and Divya, Carom by Mh Gholam and Jaya Tonk, Chess by Manoj and Deepali, Badminton by Gaurav and Manisha, Sort put by  Rohit Jain and Shibangi won the theie match respectively.
