Research Park and Innovation Centre is organizing Annual Summit on Research and Innovation- a Poster Presentation Demonstration August 6

An annual summit on research and innovation will be organised on August 6, 2016, at Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat. Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat is one of the premier institutes engaged in innovative research and innovation. This is possible only because of qualified and motivated faculty members and inspired and enthusiastic students. Doctoral students are the most significant stakeholders in research and innovation occurring at SVNIT.

Because of symbiotic efforts of the research community, SVNIT has ranked first in the category of Research, Professional Practice & Collaborative (RPC) performance among all NITs and ranked 6th among all Engineering and Research Institutes including IITs (National Institutional Ranking Framework, MHRD). Research Park and Innovation Centre, SVNIT is planning to bring the efforts put in by the research scholars of all disciplines on a common platform, which will help in creating more conducive environment towards improving the quality of work carried out by various groups across all disciplines. The platform will provide space to share and exchange their ideas and overcome their shortcomings. It can provide the base for carrying out interdisciplinary research with synergy in the end.


  • Participants are supposed to submit an extended abstract (maximum 2 pages) duly signed by the supervisor on or before 21/07/2016.
  • The subject experts will assess the abstracts and selected candidates will participate in the Poster Presentation demonstration.
  • There is no registration fee.


Doctoral students (all categories of Ph.D.) of SVNIT, who have completed 2 years of their Ph.D. programme on or before 06/08/2016, are only eligible to participate.


Extended Abstract:

Times Roman, (12 points) should be used throughout with 1.5 line spacing and with the title presented in 16 points. Present the title and author list centred, while the paragraphs of the abstract should be justified. Please ensure that the presenting author's name is underlined in the author list. Please also provide a contact e-mail.
Use margins of at least 1.5 inch (3.81 cm) on both the left and right sides. Abstracts are limited to two pages of text. References should appear at the bottom of the page and be cited with a number in the text.
