AP ICET 2018

AP ICET 2018 – Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati has successfully conducted AP ICET 2018 on 2 May 2018. The exam was held in two shifts in a single day, morning and afternoon. There were no changes in the test pattern, a total of 200 multiple choice questions were asked in the exam. This state level entrance test is a Computer Based Test (CBT) held every year on behalf of APSCHE. The score of AP ICET 2018 is taken into consideration for admission to regular MBA/MCA courses offered by Colleges/Universities coming under the jurisdiction of APSCHE of the Andhra Pradesh state. On 4 May 2018, the preliminary answer key was released along with the question papers of both the shifts. Also, the response sheets of the candidates has been made available. Though, the candidates have been individually emailed their answer sheets along with respective question paper and answer key on their email id but in case they haven't received it over email, they can download these from the official website of AP SCHE AP ICET 2018, www.sche.ap.gov.in/icet. For more convenience, they can download the official AP ICET 2018 answer keys from the link given below.

The candidates can use these answer keys to assess their performance in the test and calculate probable score. The objections against these preliminary keys can be submitted in the specified format till 5 pm on 6 May 2018. The final answer keys of AP ICET 2018 will release along with the result on 12 May 2018.

AP ICET 2018 Eligibility Criteria

The exam conducting body prescribes certain eligibility norms which must be fulfilled by every candidate interested in applying for this entrance test. Before applying for AP ICET 2018, all the candidates must make sure that the below mentioned eligibility criteria is met by them. Failure in not meeting these will lead to disqualification of candidature, irrespective of the level of admission. The AP ICET 2018 eligibility norms are as follow –

1. Indian Nationals (local/non-local) who possess Bachelors Degree in any discipline of minimum three years duration from a recognized University/College with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of reserved categories) in the qualifying examination can take this test.
2.  Foreign candidates can also apply for Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test 2018 subject to them meeting other prescribed conditions.
3.  The qualifying degree, if obtained by Distance Mode Program then it should have recognition by joint committee of UGC, AICTE and DEC.
4.  The candidates appearing for the final year degree examination or waiting for the result can also apply for the test.
5.   No age restriction.

AP ICET 2018 Application Form

AP ICET application process 2018 commenced from 16 March and concluded on 24 April 2018. All the interested candidates were required to apply online for the test after ensuring that they are eligible to apply for it. The AP ICET 2018 application form was not available in offline mode.

  • Before commencing with the form filling, the candidates were  suggested to read the instructions given for filling the form. Also, the candidates should ensure that the details filled in the application form should be correct.
  • In the application form, the candidates were required to fill their personal, aadhar card details, category, local/non-local status, choose test city, educational, contact and other requisite details.
  • Keep a copy of the submitted application form with you for future reference.

AP ICET Application Fee 2018

To complete the application process, all the applicants were required to pay an application fee, which is non-refundable. The candidates were able to pay this examination fee in both, online and offline mode. The amount of fee and mode of payment are as follow –

  • Amount of Fee (without late fee) – Rs. 550/- for all category candidates  
  • Amount of Fee (with late fee) - Rs. 2000 + Rs. 550 
  • Online – Credit Card/Debit Card or Net Banking

AP ICET 2018 Exam Centres

AP ICET 2018 Admit Card

The hall ticket of AP ICET 2018 was issued on 26 April 2018. It was a mandatory document; one requires to seek entry into the exam centre and to appear for the exam. No candidate was allowed to take the exam, if they failed to produce a valid admit card on the date of the exam.

  • The AP ICET 2018 hall ticket was available online for the duly registered candidates to download. It will not be sent via post.
  • The details such as Name of the candidate, complete address of the candidate, details of exam centre allotted, category, roll number, signature & photograph etc. was all mentioned on the admit card.
  • The candidates must retain the admit card even after the conduct of the exam as they may be asked to furnish the same at the time of counselling.

AP ICET 2018 Exam Pattern

Along with the notification, the test pattern was also been announced. The candidates preparing for the test were suggested to go through the exam pattern before they begin their preparations as it gave them idea about the duration, mode of test, no. of questions, sections and more. AP ICET 2018 was a computer-based test. Duration of exam was 2.5 hours.

AP ICET 2018 Syllabus

The questions in the exam were asked from 3 different sections and to prepare for each of this section, Sri Venkateswara University provides the syllabus, which is as follow -

1.  Analytical Ability – Questions will be asked from Sequence & series, Coding & decoding, Data Sufficiency, Data Analysis etc.
2. Mathematical Ability – Questions will be asked from Rational numbers, mensuration, statements, trignometric ratios, linear equations & expressions, Plane geometry, statistical ability etc.
3.  Communication Ability – Questions will be asked from Basic and Computer Terminology, Reading Comprehensions & Vocabulary etc.

AP ICET 2018 Answer Key

The official preliminary answer key of AP ICET 2018 was released on 4 May 2018. All the answers to the questions asked in the exam were listed in the answer key, which was made available online as a pdf file. The candidates can use the AP ICET 2018 answer key and match their attempted answers with the answers listed in the keys. Also, they were to calculate their probable score this way. The final official answer key of AP ICET 2018 will be made available along with the result on 12 May 2018.

AP ICET 2018 Result

AP Integrated Common Entrance Test 2018 (AP ICET) result will be declared on 12 May 2018. The result will be announced online and the candidates will be able to check it by entering their hall ticket number.

  • To qualify in the test, the candidates belonging to non-reserved categories will be required to obtain 25% marks (i.e. 50 out of 200). However, no qualifying marks have been prescribed for the candidates belonging to SC/ST & other reserved categories.
  • Based on the AP ICET 2018 result and the cutoff screening, candidates would be selected for the next round of selection process. The selected candidates would be enlisted in a merit list and called for counselling cum allotment on the basis of appearance in the list.

AP ICET 2018 Cut Off

Thousands of students apply for admission but the colleges have limited seats, therefore cutoff is applied to shortlist the eligible candidates to be considered for admission out of these thousands who apply. The cut off of AP ICET 2018 will be determined after the announcement of result after taking into consideration various factors. It is the minimum marks decided by the colleges accepting APICET 2018 score. The candidates obtaining marks more than or equal to this cutoff will be considered for granting MBA admission. The cutoff for the colleges is expected to remain similar like last years.

AP ICET 2018 Counselling

The candidates who will qualify AP  ICET 2018 will be called to attend the counselling. Andhra University will be conducting web-based AP ICET 2018 counselling in June/July 2018. The counselling process involves various stages like registration, document verification, choice filling and seat allotment etc.

All the candidates will be required to pay certain fee for participating in this counselling. The amount of the fee given in the table below is of the last year and can be revised this year. In case of revision, the necessary update will be done here.
