ATMA 2018 – AIMS Test for Management Admission is held by Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) in a single window for the admission to various management postgraduate courses. More than 200 b-schools accept the score of ATMA exam. The registration process for the exam is expected to begin from the last week of December, 2017. The entrance exam will be held in February, 2018 and the result will likely be announced either in the last week of February or the first week of March, 2018. The result will be declared in the form of scorecard which will contain the individual score of each section as well as the total scores obtained by the candidate. There will be a total of 180 questions divided into 6 sections and the duration of the test will be 3 hours. Completing the eligibility criteria of the test is mandatory. Candidates must hold the bachelor’s degree with at least 50 percent marks. Minimum age required to appear for the exam is 21 years. Also, the final year students of graduation can apply for the same.

ATMA is approved by the Ministry of Human Resource Development of Government of India for admission on all India basis to the MBA/PGDM programmes. Since 1988, AIMS has grown into a powerful body of management colleges in India with a membership of over 600 institutes. It is also considered as one of the largest networks of b-schools in the world.

ATMA 2018

ATMA is considered as one of the most reliable tests for the admission to postgraduate management courses. It is conducted thrice every year in and around the months of February, May and July. Same is likely to be happened in 2018.

ATMA 2018: Important Dates

Candidates who wish to appear for ATMA exam 2018 must check the schedule of the test so that they don’t miss any major update or event. Here we are providing a tentative schedule for the month of February:

ATMA 2018 – Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidate applying for the exam must be a citizen of India
  • Applicants must be a graduate or an equivalent qualification under 10+2+3 scheme in any subject from any university recognized by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
  • They must have obtained at least 50 percent marks in graduation. Candidates must note, these aggregate marks may differ for some institutes.
  • Final year students of graduation can also apply. However, they will have to submit the proof of graduation.
  • There is no age limit.
  • There is no work experience required for ATMA. Both working and non-working candidates can apply for the exam.

ATMA Application Form 2018

Candidates can apply in both online and offline mode. Here we are providing the procedure to apply in both the modes below:

Online Registration –

  • To apply online, candidates will be required to pay the required fee. After the payment, Personal Identification Number (PID) will be sent to the registered email id of the applicant.
  • Using PID, candidates can now fill the application form. They will be required to enter their personal, academic details.
  • Upload all the required documents.
  • Once all the information is filled correctly, review and submit the form
  • After submitting the form, candidates can take the print out of the same.

Offline Registration –

  • For offline registration, candidates will be required to visit the notified centres of AIMS.
  • Pay the application fee at the counter through cash or demand draft (DD) and purchase the ATMA bulletin.
  • After purchasing the bulletin, an application number will be provided to the applicant. Using that number, candidates can apply for the exam.

Registration Fee for ATMA 2018

Candidates applying for ATMA 2018 will have to pay a non- refundable amount of INR 1100. If the registration is being done online, fee can be paid through NEFT or net banking.

If the candidate is purchasing the ATMA bulletin from the notified centre of AIMS, he/she will be required to pay a non-refundable fee of INR 110 at the counter. Fee for all the categories is same. They must ensure, the ATMA application fee must be submitted within the duration prescribed by the conducting body.

ATMA Exam Pattern 2018

Candidates must check the exam pattern of ATMA 2018 in order to make the preparation strategy for the exam. There will be a total of 180 questions distributed in 6 sections. There will be 30 multiple choice questions in each section. Duration of the test will be 3 hours. Candidates can have a clear idea regarding the exam pattern from the table given below:

Marking Scheme: For each correct answer, 1 mark will be given. There is the provision of negative marking. For each incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.

ATMA Exam Centre 2018

ATMA is conducted at the number of cities across India. All the candidates will be required to select the exam city while filling the application form. They are suggested to choose the exam centres as per their convenience and accessibility. Once the form will be submitted, they will not be able to make any changes. So select the test centre carefully and review it before submitting the form. Candidates must note that any of the below test centers may be canceled, combined or changed depending on the number of candidates in specific centers or new centers year after year.

ATMA Admit Card 2018

Admit card of ATMA 2018 is expected to be released after the second week of February, 2018. Candidates must carry hall ticket to the exam centre otherwise they will not be allowed to appear for the exam. They will have to paste their passport size photographs at the time of examination in the space provided. Along with the admit card, candidates have to bring the documents such as ATMA receipt issued after making payment of registration fee, a copy of the registration form and photo identification (in original). Admit card will contain following details:

  • Name of the candidate
  • Roll number of the candidate
  • Date of examination
  • Time of examination
  • Details of the exam center allotted

Steps to download admit card

  • Visit the official website.
  • Search ‘ATMA Exam Details’ section. Click on the tab and select their exam date.
  •  ‘For the applicants’ tab and select ‘Login for Candidates’ subhead and click on it.
  • You will be redirected to a page that comprises of candidate’s login. Select the test date and enter your PID number and password. Once done, click login.
  • After the successful login, the candidate can print his/ her admit card and paste a passport size photograph on it. 

ATMA Result

The result of ATMA 2018 will be announced in the last week of February. To check the result, visit the official site of AIMS. No hardcopy will be sent to the candidates individually. Candidates will be required to login with their user id and password to access the result.

The result will be declared in the form of the scorecard. It will contain the scores of each section i.e. quantitative, verbal and analytical. Along with sectional marks, overall scores will also be provided. Scorecard will also include the percentile scores. These scores will remain valid till the next academic session in various universities. The scorecard is considered as one of the major documents for the admission. Scores obtained in the test will be reported to candidates as well as to the institutes.
