Board Exams may clash with Major Entrance Exams

While the students were coping up with the news of the delayed class X and XII board exams, the latest news has flooded in stating that a number of entrance exam dates will clash with the already delayed board exams.

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE), the Naval Academy Examination (NAE) and the entrance exam for National Defense Academy (NDA) are all scheduled to be held on the same day, i.e. April 23, 2017. This announcement has left thousands of students confused since most of them will have to make a choice between WBJEE, NAE or NDA.

The CBSE Board exams are rescheduled to begin from the second week of March 2017, so as to avoid the clash of exam dates with the upcoming state election to be held in five cities (Punjab, Goa, Uttar Pradesh, Manipur and Uttarakhand). The authorities stated a clear reason of avoiding any clash between the elections and the board exams and also promised the students of an 'uninterrupted sequence of examination' which gave a sigh of relief to both, the parents and the students. But, the latest released schedule for various entrance examinations has again raised the heat.

The most awaited examinations this year are most likely scheduled to be held on the same dates, leaving the candidates in a state of dilemma while choosing which exam to appear for.

NEET 2017 may clash with the COMEDK UGET 2017 which will be conducted on May 7, 2017. However, no official notification has been released for NEET 2017 exam date and the conducting authorities may reschedule the examination to avoid a clash.

This information is a matter of concern for both parents and students as the aspirants who were preparing for multiple exams will now have to make a choice among the exams falling on the same date. On the other hand, the students appearing for the board exam along with other entrance examinations are worried about appearing for the boards and JEE (Joint entrance exam) simultaneously, in case the date is further postponed.

CBSE is in the process to amend these clashes and reschedule the exams in order to release some pressure on the students and sort their confusion of choosing one of the two exams (or more) clashing.
