BT Group Selects 22 Students from VIPS, Delhi

22 BCA students from Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies got job offers from BT Group.

Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies, New Delhi had recently conducted a placement drive for BCA 2013-16 batch.
Different affiliated colleges of Indraprstha University had participated in the placement and faced the rigorous rounds conducted by the company BT (British Telecommunications).
BT is a UK based multinational telecommunication company with head office in London. The interview process started with the company introducing itself at the college auditorium. This was followed by an intense question-answer session where students asked queries about the company. Persons visited on behalf of BT Group also conducted three rounds of placement to select candidates.

Placement Rounds:

  • Extempo round, where a student was supposed to speak on a topic for 3 minutes given on the spot
  • Written exam, which included some multiple choice question on language and grammar and a technical query
  • Interview
Out of 50-60 students who appeared for placement, only 30 students qualified in the first round and appeared for the written test. Most of them scored well in written test, which qualified them for the interview.
Post the final interview session, 22 students were selected on a package of INR 2 lakh.
