While most PCM students go for engineering programmes after completing 12th, you have many other choices to pursue your career. In modern times, the career options after 12th science are also changing with the newer interests of science students. Thus, many non-traditional options have arrived, ranging from hotel management and fashion design to architecture and law. In fact, you are not limited to your own stream, even if you pursued 12th class with physics, chemistry, and maths as your major subjects. As a PCM student, you can even shift your career into arts or commerce stream. You may take up a CA, CS or ICWA course to make a shift. This can also lead to a great professional career later in banking and finance.

Further, you can take up interesting courses like those in the fields of environmental science, journalism, films and television, industrial design, etc. In fact, amongst the career options after 12th science, you cannot discount the available opportunities in the field of defence. You are eligible to take up professional exams like NDA to enter navy, army, and air force services.
