One of the major changes in the CAT 2016 exam this year is Noida has been added as a centre for the entrance examination. Noida was removed as an authorised entrance exam centre for CAT in 2014 and Greater Noida was included instead. This caused problems for Delhi NCR candidates who wanted to take Noida as a test centre.
Another big change introduced is in the application form where graduation level marks are entered. Earlier, candidates need to fill in the details of marks based on 10+2+3 pattern which created a problem for the candidates who have done their graduation in 1980s when two years pattern for graduation was valid. To solve this problem, the application form now asks candidates to fill in the year of commencement and completion of bachelor’s degree, whereas the marks can now be added based on the years taken to complete the graduation.
