CAT 2016: IIMs Commence PI Shortlisting Process

A few Indian Institutes of Management have commenced PI shortlisting process for the academic session 2017-19 admission. IIM Ahmedabad, Kozhikode and Bangalore have started the process. Candidates can check their status on the IIMA and IIMB websites by entering their CAT 2016 registration number/application number and registered email ID. The shortlisted candidates will also receive call letters for the Written Ability Test and Personal Interview round, which will ensure a seat in these campuses.

Admissions to IIMs are conducted in three phases that include CAT 2016, Writing Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). Other parameters that are considered for the final selection include past academic records, work experience and extracurricular activities. Diversity is one of the major factors that help in the final selection of the candidate.

Let us look at details of the three IIMs who have started their WAT and PI processes for the shortlisted candidates-

IIM Ahmedabad

The WAT and PI rounds for selection in IIM Ahmedabad will be conducted in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Kolkata and Hyderabad. The shortlisted candidates will be informed of selection by post by the second week of January 2017. The candidates will be required to fill a personal profile form available on the website to be able to attend both the rounds.
