The Central Teacher Eligibility Test-Nov 2012 (CTET) was conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi, on 18th Nov 2012 throughout the country and abroad, except Mumbai where the scheduled examination was postponed at the following 4 centers:
DAV Public School, Plot no 34, sector-48 Nerul Navi Mumbai, Mumbai-400706
Delhi Public School, Palm Beach Marg, Sector-54 Nerul, Navi Mumbai-400706
Kendriya Vidyalaya Bhandup, NCH colony, Kanjur Marg(W), Mumbai-400078
public School, Airoli, Plot No.-11, Sector-10 Navi Airoli, Mumbai-400708
The Board has now decided to conduct the postponed CTET-NOV 2012 Examination in Mumbai on 2nd December 2012 at the aforesaid centers. The candidates may carry their same downloaded Admit Card of 18th Nov 2012 and appear for the CTET-Nov 2012 Examination at the given centres as per the laid down time schedule mentioned in the admit card. Facility for downloading Admit Cards will also be available to the candidates registered for these centres.
About CBSE CTET :
Central Teacher Eligibility Test is held to recruit teachers for Schools of the Central Government which include Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyala Samiti, Tibetan Schools and Schools under administrative control of UT of Chandigarh and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The test also allow aspirants teacher to get recruited to unaided private schools who may exercise the option of considering CTET. Schools owned and managed by the State Government/Local Bodies and aided schools shall consider the TET but they may also consider CTET if a State does not hold TET.
The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt of India has entrusted the responsibility of conducting CTET to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The examination will be held in the month of November for which the CBSE has opened the acceptance of application from 1st August 2012.
