Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam 2015: Last Date to Apply is June 19

UPSC conducts the CSAT exam, also known as Civil Services Preliminary Examination, as a screening test for the Civil Services Mains Exam.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the dates for the CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test) exam 2015, also known as Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2015.

UPSC conducts Civil Services Examination (CSE) for recruitment to the various Civil Services of the Government of India, including IAS, IFS, IPS, among others.

The exam involves three stages – first is the Preliminary exam, second is the Main exam, which is followed by a Personality Test (Interview) round.

The Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2015 will be conducted on 23rd August, 2015.

The number of attempts that every eligible candidate gets for the Civil Services Examination is four.


Eligibility Criteria:

  • The candidate needs to be the citizen of India to be eligible to apply for the Indian Administrative Service & Indian Police Service.
  • The candidate should be minimum 21 years of age to apply for the UPSC Exams and the maximum age limit is 29 years.
  • The candidates with a degree from any of the recognized universities can apply for the UPSC Exams.

Important Dates:

Last date for applying online is 19th June, 2015.

The examination is scheduled to be held on 23rd August, 2015.
