Things to keep in mind on CLAT day:

One of the most basic things to do is to complete at least 8 hours of sleep. Getting up fresh in the morning will automatically make you feel confident. On the day of the exam, you must eat healthy, stay hydrated and keep a calm mind.

No Mock Tests:

Since the exam is in the afternoon, students can utilise the time in the morning for revision. But it is advised not to solve any mock tests right before the exam. Mock tests can trigger panic and tension, which is not required on the day of the exam. You must relax, and if necessary, revise important topics and formulae.

You must carry all the required documents to the exam centre, without which you will not be allowed to take the exam. The most important document to be carried is the CLAT 2017 Admit Card. The admit card contains all the important information and if you don’t carry the same, you will not be allowed to enter the exam hall. Along with the CLAT admit card, you must carry a valid photo ID for verification. You can carry one of the following ID proofs to the centre:

  • PAN Card
  • Passport
  • Voters’ ID card
  • Certificate of Identity having photo issued by Gazetted Officer/MP/MLA/Tehsildar

Check Computer Systems:

On reaching the exam hall, you should check the computer thoroughly. Check the mouse, keyboard, monitor and CPU and if you face any problem operating it, inform the same to the invigilator immediately.

Also, all candidates are provided with a username and password at their CLAT 2017 examination hall. You need to fill these details in the computer as soon as you are seated. On entering the username and password, your details are displayed on the system. You need to make sure that all the details shown in the system are correct.

Time Management:

Time management is the most important aspect you need to keep in mind while attempting the CLAT paper. The exam will be conducted in the online mode, with a total of 200 questions to be attempted in 120 minutes. You get less than two minutes to attempt each question. Therefore, at any point of time, you should not spend more than two minutes on a question and if you feel you are getting stuck on one question, then you should leave that specific question and move on to the next.

Stay Calm:

Lastly, the key to scoring well in CLAT, or any other exam, is to stay calm. A peaceful mind will work faster and help you score more. If you do not know the answer to a question, there is no need to take stress and tension. You can always mark the question for review and come back later to solve it. It’s all about calming your nerves and attempting the paper to the best of your abilities. wishes all the aspirants best of luck for the CLAT 2017 exam. Do well and come out with flying colours.
