A day before the exam is very crucial for every aspirant. Find below some of the important things to remember a day before the CLAT 2018 examination to stay calm and confident in the examination hall.
Cracking Common Law Admission Test 2018 (CLAT 2018), which is scheduled to be conducted on May 13, 2018, can be an easy task for the candidates who made right CLAT preparation strategy. CLAT 2018 is a national level entrance exam conducted every year to help candidates get admission in LL.B and LL.M programmes at 18 National Law Universities and other CLAT participating universities, which also includes private colleges. CLAT 2018 will be conducted by The National University of Advanced Legal Studies Kochi (NUALS Kochi) at around 65 examination centres across India.
A day before the exam, candidates get under stress. But it is the time to stay calm and keep your best foot forward to come out with the flying colors in CLAT 2018. No matter from how good coaching centre you have studied or which CLAT books you have referred to, without following some simple and basic steps, getting success in CLAT 2018 is not possible.
As per CLAT 2018 exam pattern, the test will be of two-hours, conducted from 3 pm to 5 pm on May 13, 2018. Candidates should reach the examination centre latest by 2 PM to avoid any problems in getting the entry in the examination hall.
Important things to keep in mind a day before the CLAT 2018 examination:
Don’t Start Any New Topic:
A day before the examination is all about getting enough rest and preparing yourself mentally and physically for the CLAT exam the next day. Starting a new topic or solving mock tests one day before the exam is not a very good idea. It can give you more stress than help you in the preparation. If you are not able to solve any question, you might feel bad and end up wasting time on the revision of same instead of letting your mind relax. Just go through the notes of major topics instead of revisiting the entire chapter.
Rest and Eat Well:
It is important to be healthy to perform well on the day of the exam. Sleep well and eat well to keep the brain cells sharp and active to crack the CLAT 2018 examination. Get lots of rest and have a good diet to keep your stamina and mental capacity to appear for the exam the next day. Don't study till late at night before the exam day. If you don't sleep well, you might feel exhausted in the exam, which will have a negative impact on your performance and speed.
Visit the Examination Centre:
To know exactly how much time you will need to reach the examination centre and then calculate backward, it is important that you pay the examination centre a visit a day prior and calculate your time and distance. It will help you plan your departure on the examination day to assure that you reach the venue in time.
Go through the Major Current topics:
It is very important to keep yourself abreast with the latest happenings around the world and in India. Read newspapers and hot current topics to be up to date with the general knowledge, current affairs and happenings around, to score well in the current affairs and general knowledge sections of the CLAT exam, 2018.
CLAT 2018 for UG course will have 200 questions and question paper for PG course will have 150 questions, which candidates will have to solve in 120 minutes. To attempt a maximum number of questions in limited time, candidates must strategise time. Candidates need to prioritize between different sections based on their preparation and the number of questions. Candidates should stick to their plan during the entire duration of CLAT 2018 exam.
Keep Documents and Stationary Ready:
To make sure that you do not miss out on any of the important documents like admit card, valid photo id proof etc. collect and keep a folder of all the required documents ready the night before itself. Candidates should note that the valid photo id that they plan to carry to the exam centre, should be issued by the Government of India. It is recommended that the ID proof also has the candidate’s signature on it.
Even though CLAT 2018 is an online exam, but one should be ready with some stationary in case they need to solve some questions on rough sheets provided.
