CMAT Exam Pattern 2018 - AICTE, the exam conducting body has officially provided the CMAT 2018 test pattern. It remains on similar lines like that of last years and no changes have been made to it. The candidates planning to appear for AICTE CMAT 2018 must go through this exam pattern before they begin with their exam preparations. Having an idea about the CMAT 2018 exam pattern will give them the information about how many questions will be asked in the exam, from how many and what all sections, what will be the duration of the exam and a lot more. It is important for the exam takers to comprehend the test pattern well as it can help them devise a preparation strategy and give them an idea about what all they should study from the exam point of view. Common Management Admission Test 2018 will be organized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) on January 21, 2018. CMAT Exam Pattern 2018

Candidates, who are planning to appear in CMAT 2018, should understand CMAT exam pattern 2018 completely so that they can have effective CMAT preparation 2018. As per the official CMAT 2018 test pattern, the exam will be a computer-based test. A computer system will be assigned to every candidate and also they will be given a plain sheet and pen to do any rough work. The exam takers will have to leave this paper and pen on their desk on conclusion of the exam.

Total 100 questions will be asked in the exam from 4 sections, which are quantitative techniques, language comprehension, logical reasoning and general awareness. The exam takers will be given 3 hours to attempt the CMAT 2018 question paper.

CMAT 2018 Syllabus 

There isn’t any particular syllabus provided by AICTE for CMAT exam. However, based on previous year exam, a list of CMAT syllabus or the major topics which usually come in exam can be prepared. The syllabus for all 4 sections of the exam has been provided here below.

Language Comprehension
 
The verbal ability section in CMAT is known as Language Comprehension. This section includes English test comprising several topics such as vocabulary, tenses, jumbled paragraphs, grammar and reading comprehensions. Following are some other topics which may be asked in the exam as per CMAT exam pattern 2018:

The passages given in CMAT exam are of almost 500 words and as per the exam pattern of CMAT; these passages aren’t that much difficult. There will be at least 4 to 5 questions in reading comprehension passages. There is no fixed set of rule for answering them. Questions can be of following types:

Quantitative Technique and Data Interpretation

We can divide this section in three parts. Due weightage is given to every part of this section. You can find conventional GK in the books. For current GK, you can always refer to regular newspaper readings and reading periodicals & editorials. And the third section is Economics and Business GK which includes topics like CRP, up valuation and Devaluation of Rupee, Fiscal policy, monetary policy, Repo Rate etc. There may be question where the candidates will be given photos or emblem for identification (such as organizations, companies or famous personalities). This section also contains the following topics as well:
 
  • Who’s who
  • Current affair
  • Capital of countries
  • Currencies of countries
  • Indian states
  • Economics and business
  • International organizations
  • Sports News
  • Indian constitution
  • Science in everyday life
