COMEDK UGET 2017 is a state level entrance examination for admissions to various engineering, dental and medical colleges across the state of Karnataka. Conducted every year by Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK), this computer-based examination screens students before admitting them to undergraduate courses like B.Tech, MBBS and BDS. Presently more than 150 engineering colleges, 14 medical and 23 dental colleges are affiliated to COMEDK, putting a total of 20,000 seats on offer collectively.

The upcoming COMEDK UGET examination is going to be conducted on 14th May 2017. The registrations and the sale of application forms have begun from 13th February onwards. The last date to submit filled-in application forms is 20th April 2017. 

The COMEDK UGET for the year 2017 will consist of objective multiple choice questions carrying one mark each. However, the number of questions will vary for engineering students, medical students and for those who will be appearing for both medical and engineering courses.

COMEDK UGET 2017 Eligibility Criteria

Before buying the forms of COMEDK UGET 2017, all candidates are advised to go through the eligibility criteria for the course they wish to apply.
 
The eligibility criteria for candidates applying for engineering course are different from that of medical courses. Candidates can check the eligibility criteria here.

Students applying under reserved category require a minimum of 40% marks as the qualifying criterion. Final year students of qualifying exam can also apply for the COMEDK UGET exam. Candidates should also note that there are no lateral entries for engineering courses.
 

COMEDK UGET 2017 Application Procedure

The application forms for COMEDK UGET 2017 are NOW available on the online web portal of COMEDK. Students are required to register themselves before filling up the application forms. The application form will be considered complete only after the registration, application form filling and application fee payment has been made. The last date to submit the filled-in application forms is 20th April 2017.
 

Steps to Fill COMEDK UGET 2017 Application Forms

  • • Click on ‘UGET Details’
  • • Enter the required details for registration
  • • Fill-up the application form
  • • Upload scanned copy of signature and photograph
  • • Pay the application fee

COMEDK UGET 2017 Application Fee

The application fee for candidates applying for engineering course or medical/ dental course is INR 1200. However, candidates applying for both engineering and medical courses will have to pay an application fee of INR 1500. Candidates can pay the application fee through online mode as well as offline mode. Online payment can be made via credit cards, debit cards or net banking. On the other hand, offline payment can be made by generating a challan payable at the nearest Axis Bank branch.

COMEDK UGET 2017 Exam Pattern

Candidates appearing for COMEDK UGET 2017 will have to appear for a computer-based examination consisting of multiple-choice questions. Each question will carry one mark and there will not be any negative marking as such. Candidates applying for engineering courses will have to answer 180 questions on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. On the other hand, candidates applying for medical courses will be required to answer 240 questions on Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. However, candidates applying for both medical and engineering courses will have to answer a total of 300 questions based on Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and English subjects.

COMEDK UGET 2017 Syllabus

Candidates appearing for COMEDK UGET 2017 will be asked questions from subjects like Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, English and Biology. Questions on Electrostatics, Current, Electricity, Electromagnetic Induction, etc will be asked under Physics section. Chemistry section may contain questions on Nuclear Chemistry, Polymers, Organic Chemistry, Bio-Molecules, etc. Biology section may cover topics like Genetics & Evolution, Plant Reproduction, Environment, Human Reproduction, etc. Mathematical questions on Calculus, Trigonometry, Matrices & Determinants, Vectors, etc may be asked. English section will mainly comprise of questions on Grammar, Vocabulary, Comprehension, etc.

COMEDK UGET 2017 Admit Card

The admit cards/ Test Admission Ticket (TAT) for COMEDK UGET 2017 will be availble for download from the COMEDK website from 5th May 2017 to 13th May 2017. Candidates will be able to download their admit cards from the official web portal of COMEDK by entering the registered email id and password. The admit card will contain details like candidate’s name, TAT number, test venue, exam time, etc.
 
All candidates are advised to carry the printout of their admit card to the exam venue along with a valid photo Id proof. The availability of admit cards will conclude on 13th May 2017.

COMEDK UGET 2017 Results

The results of COMEDK UGET for the year 2017 will be announced on 29th May 2017. Candidates will able to view their results by entering their details on the official website of COMEDK. They will also be able to view the merit list prepared on the basis of the individual test scores of all the candidates. Final answer keys to the question asked in the examination will be released on 26th May 2017.

COMEDK UGET 2017 Counselling

The counselling schedule for college allocation to qualified students will be announced by COMEDK after the announcement of results. Students will be required to be present for the centralized counselling as per the schedule announced on the official web portal of COMEDK. All candidates are also advised to get original and photocopies of all documents required for counselling procedure.
