COMEDK has released the exam dates of Undergraduate Entrance Examination for Engineering Courses. Read the news to check eligibility & COMEDK UGET 2018 examination date!
Karnataka Unaided Private Engineering College Association (KUPECA), an association of 150 and more engineering colleges, has bestowed the responsibility of conducting Undergraduate Entrance Examination for Engineering Courses to Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK). The organization has released the examination date of COMEDK UGET 2018. It is a computer-based test which is scheduled to be held on 13 May 2018 for admission to various engineering colleges. It will be conducted at all India level so, that candidates can appear in the test with minimum expenditure on travelling and other logistics.
The information brochure containing all the important details related to COMEDK UGET 2018 will be released in due course on the official website of COMEDK, www.comedk.org. Meanwhile, aspirants can check the complete eligibility of the examination which has been released along with the examination dates of COMEDK 2018. Aspirants must satisfy all the terms and conditions of the eligibility if they want to apply for the examination. COMEDK UGET Eligibility Criteria 2018
For Engineering courses- Aspirants should have qualified the PUC or 10+2 examination or equivalent from State/ Central Board with a minimum of 45% marks for candidates belonging to General category (40% marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category of Karnataka State). They must have studied Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics along with English as a compulsory subject in last 02 years.
Note- Diploma candidates are not allowed to appear in the test as there is no lateral entry admission.
For Architecture Courses- Architect Aspirants should have qualified the PUC or 10+2 examination or equivalent or a 10+3 Diploma from State/ Central Board with Mathematics as a major subject and a minimum of 50% marks for candidates belonging to General category (45% marks for SC/ST/OBC candidates of Karnataka State). Alongside, candidates should have appeared in National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) and attained a minimum 80 marks out of 200 for all categories.
Note- There will be no separate entrance test for admission to Architecture courses.
The online application forms for appearing in COMEDK UGET 2018 is likely to be released in February 2018.
