This year, around 13.36 lakh students have registered for NEET exam which is held to give admission to students in MBBS and BDS courses throughout the country.
In the wake of entrance exams, we all have seen the competition is becoming stiff with each passing year. National Eligibility cum Entrance Exam (NEET) exam is no exception either. This time, though, the competition seems harder than the years gone by. The reason for this is over 13.36 lakh hopefuls have registered for NEET 2018 exam. With this, admission to odd 60,000 medical (MBBS) and dental (BDS) seats in India is to get difficult, very difficult, I must say.
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the figures recently, which is far above the 11.5 lakh students who registered for NEET Exam last year and 7.5 lakh in 2016. One of the reasons for an increase in a number of NEET applications for the exam is that more and more states in India are opting for NEET exam, which came into force after Supreme Court verdict in 2016.
Another reason for the increase in the number of applicants is contributed to the increasing number of students who are clearing 12th exam every year. Also, various student favoring policies and scholarships that central and the state governments have made available are contributing considerably. With increasing awareness and various states opting for NEET exam, students have now realized that clearing this exam is more important than any state exam.
To NEET 2018 aspirants, we would like to tell you all that CBSE has already have made NEET 2018 Admit Cards available on its official website. Candidates can reach out to the same to download their admit card. Carrying NEET admit card to the exam hall is mandatory failing which the aspirants will not be allowed to write the exam. NEET exam this year will be conducted in 11 languages across the country on the May 6, 2018.
