Data Analysis

Sri Aurobindo College, New Delhi conducted a one day Faculty Development Programme on “Data Analysis for Social Sciences” on October 17, 2015 from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Students and faculty from different colleges of University of Delhi an of other Universities participated from Commerce, Economics and Management stream. The programme was carried under the supervision of Prof. C P Gupta, an eminent and renowned resource person from the Department of Financial Studies, University of Delhi.



The induction programme intended to enable the part takers to get to know about the tools and techniques of Data Analysis by using different software packages and to meaningfully interpret the results thereof. The attendees were briefed about the application of statistical software for data analysis is indispensable for any social sciences research scholar.

The programme had numerous theoretical inputs along with hands on experiences for brushing up their knowledge of basic statistics. They were also taught about SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) because of its inherent characteristics of being user-friendly and more appropriate for data analysis. The interactive session created am ambiance full of knowledge.



Dr. Anjali Arora, Head, Department of Commerce, Sri Aurobindo College delivered the Valedictory Address. The Certificates were distributed to the participants by Dr. Vipin Kumar, Principal, Sri Aurobindo College, on the successful completion of the programme. The programme ended with a formal vote of thanks.
