The Department of Psychology as an independent department was established in University of Delhi in 1964 under the headship of Late Prof. H.C. Ganguli. The Psychology Department under Delhi University has two units, one at the North Campus and the other at the South Campus. Founded in 1956, Lady Sri Ram College for Women is affiliated to the University of Delhi and is famous for courses in Social Sciences, Humanities and Commerce. It was established by late Lala Shri Ram in memory of his wife Phoolan Devi (Lady Shri Ram). The college spreads over 512-acre (2,070,000 m2) campus in Lajpat Nagar in South Delhi. Eligibility Criteria

l  Candidates who have passed the Senior School Certificate Examination (Class 12) of the Central Board of Secondary Education or a recognised equivalent examination are eligible to apply.

l  Admission will be on the basis of marks obtained in the Class 12 or equivalent examination. The aggregate required for admission will be calculated on the basis of marks secured in a language, marks secured in the subject in which admission is sought and marks secured in any other 2 academic/elective subjects as defined by the University of Delhi. Daulat Ram College (DRC) is a women's college under University of Delhi. It was founded in 1960 and was originally named Pramila College. Bhim Rao Ambedkar College came into existence in 1991, the birth centenary year of Bharat Ratna Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar. Eligibility Criteria

l  The college acts in accordance to the Delhi University Centralized Admission procedure.

l  Eligibility to a course of study is based on the cut-off percentage announced through the University in June every year.

l  Prospective students should have completed 12 years of study and must have scored the given cut-off percentage in previous qualifying examination.

l  For admission to few professional courses, students have to undergo an additional All India Written Entrance Test and/or interview conducted by their respective parent departments.

Kamala Nehru College was established in 1964 as a Government College for Women and was located in Defence Colony, Delhi. In the year 1966 the college was renamed 'Modern College for Women' and shifted to August Kranti Marg, New Delhi.
