Starting this academic session, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore will offer MBA in Entrepreneurship, at its International Institute of Professional Studies (IIPS).
Entrepreneurship has become one of the most sought after specialisations in management field in the last few years. Top business schools like IIMs (IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Indore) have gone ahead and established spaces to guide aspiring entrepreneurs in setting up businesses.
The MBA in Entrepreneurship at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya will be offered at the university’s International Institute of Professional Studies (IIPS).
BK Tripath, the Director of IIPS, said that the plan of the course has been sent for approval to the Board of Studies of Management for Approval. He said that once they receive the formal approval from the board and executive council, the course will begin at IIPS.
The course will be launched with 60 students, if it receives a good response, the number will be increased.
With the launch of the Start- Up India campaign, the number of management institutes offering entrepreneurship programmes has increased.
IIPS is also planning to set up its own entrepreneurship cell, which will assist the students in setting up and managing their own businesses.
BK Tripath further commented saying that more and more students are willing to start their own businesses and it becomes the responsibility of the institute to assist and guide these students in turning their ideas into sustainable businesses.
