Sidharth, a Delhi Technological University (DTU) student, has received a job offer from United States-based company Uber technologies with a whopping annual salary of INR 1.25 Crore. Sidharth is a Computer Science Engineering student and has been offered the position of a software engineer at the San Francisco office of Uber. The salary includes his basic pay and other benefits. His basic pay package is INR 71 lac, which moves up to INR 1.25 Crore with other benefits.
He said that he was delighted with the offer and is looking forward to work in San Francisco. He added that he was looking to travel around the world with the money from his Uber cool job. When asked about the recruitment process, Sidharth said that it was grilling, and he had to solve questions on the spot. Sidharth also said that he had earlier done a seven-week internship with Uber. Hence, this is a pre-placement offer that he received.
Sidharth is the eldest son in the family and had scored 95.4% in his Class 12 board examinations. He secured 98 out of 100 in Computer Science and Mathematics. He said his percentage took a dip because of a low score in English. Sidharth then cleared the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main and landed a seat at DTU. He said Computer Science was always of great interest for him.
Sidharth is not the only success story from DTU as the University officials said that the quantum of offers made to students was also steadily rising. Previously, students have been offered INR 70 Lacs per annum by software firm EPIC, INR 28 Lac by bankers Goldman Sachs and INR 19 Lac by retailer Amazon.
