DU LLB 2016 syllabus and exam pattern has been declared by the University of Delhi to aid the students in preparing for the DU LLB 2016 entrance exam. The syllabus and exam pattern of LLB entrance exam of DU will give an overview of the important topics of all the sections of the examination.

The students can plan their preparation as per the LLB syllabus and the exam pattern.

Faculty of Law, Delhi University will be conducting the DU LLB 2016 entrance exam in the month of June 2016 to grant admission to under graduate law programmes offered at DU. Interested candidates can apply for the common law entrance exam through the official website of the university.



Syllabus for DU LLB 2016:

The syllabus for DU LLB 2016 will consist of questions based on various topics in each section. Students must have adequate knowledge and should be well-versed with the following topics:

  • Jurisprudence
  • Criminal Law
  • Law of Contracts (General Principles)
  • Constitutional Law of India
  • Public International Law
  • Law of Torts
  • Family Law (Marriage and Divorce)

Section wise details of the syllabus are as under:

English including Comprehension:

The questions will be based on 10+2 level. The English section will comprise of questions related to jumbled words/sentences, fill in the blanks, incorrect sentences, unseen passages, essay-writing etc. This section is to evaluate the reading and writing skills of the candidate.
Mathematics (Analytical/Numerical Ability):

The section will test the numerical ability of the candidates for which the questions will be based on basic mathematics which includes percentage, profit and loss, number system, average, algebra, AP, GP, etc.

General Knowledge:

The general knowledge section of the DU LLB entrance exam will consist of questions from national and international current affairs along with general knowledge including Constitution of India.

Legal Awareness and Aptitude:

This section will assess the interest of the candidates towards LLB programme. The questions will be based on Indian legal framework and Indian Judiciary system.

DU LLB 2016 Exam Pattern:

The exam pattern of DU LLB 2016 will consist of a total of 175 questions and the duration of the exam will be of two hours.
