Environment is an integral part of our lives. Without the atmosphere and environment one surely cannot survive. It is of utmost importance in these times to try and preserve the ecology that we have with us so that we can ensure a good and healthy environment for our future.
So, in order to make a little impact on our environment, ‘Eco Day’ was recently celebrated in the premises of Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies (MAIMS), Delhi. Saplings were planted in the ‘Vatika’ which has been opened in the college to promote healthy and green environment.
The event kick started with a keynote speech by the Director of the college. Then the faculty and the students went to the Vatika to plant the saplings and take an educational tour to know more about the flora in the college. After that students were registered for the purpose of planting more trees in the campus and the areas surrounding it.
The event ended on a good note with many student registrations and a light conversation between students and faculty regarding environment and various steps to be taken in order to protect it.
