The university serves multiple districts of Andhra Pradesh from its campus, which has two sections called the North Campus and the South Campus. While all other college departments of the university are based in its South Campus, the departments of engineering colleges are based in its North Campus. Andhra University has the country’s oldest and largest departments of chemical engineering, civil engineering, marine engineering, and computer science and system engineering. How to Get Admission in Andhra University Engineering Colleges

To be eligible to get admission in one of the engineering colleges under Andhra University at the undergraduate level, you must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in PCM subjects. Appearing candidates in 10+2 exam can also apply for Andhra University’s B.E./B-Tech programmes, as well as its integrated B-Tech + M-Tech courses and twinning programmes. For admission in these5-year integrated programmes or twinning programmes of Bachelors and Masters Courses, the university conducts an entrance examination called AUEET (Andhra University Engineering Entrance Test).

Students who are able to clear the cut off decided by the university in AUEET become eligible for admission in varied engineering colleges under Andhra University. The submission of online applications to appear in AUEET usually starts in the second week of March every year. The exam is generally held in the month of May and students are invited for the first round of counselling by June. For other undergraduate engineering programmes (4-year B.E./B-Tech courses), students need to appear for EAMCET (Engineering, Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test) conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

Further, to get admission in postgraduate courses at various engineering colleges under Andhra University, the GATE scores of students are considered. The university also considers their ranks in PGECET (Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test), which is also conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
