Entrepreneurship Awareness Drive 2015 coming to a city near you…Taking entrepreneurship at all new Level

Entrepreneurship Cell, IIT Kharagpur is a student organization with an aim to foster the spirit of entrepreneurship among college students in India. Each year, it takes a massive initiative to promote entrepreneurship and encourage students across the country to embrace the concept of starting one's own enterprise.

The Entrepreneurship Awareness Drive, one of the most massive flagship events undertaken by the Entrepreneurship Cell, IIT Kharagpur is a one of its kind initiative held in 24 cities across the nation in order to stimulate the spirit of entrepreneurship and encourage students to embrace the idea of starting their own venture. With its humble beginnings in 2009 with 10 cities, EAD has grown to insurmountable heights, with EAD being held in 23 cities in the last edition (2013) and an extensive footfall of over 15,000 students. Held in the first fortnight of October in a reputed college of the respective city, it consists of a series of guest lectures by distinguished local entrepreneurs followed by a panel discussion or a workshop.

IIT Kharagpur, in association with AugRay and powered by IBM conducted Entrepreneurship Awareness Drive in Vishakhapatnam on October 19, 2015 at Vignan Institute of Technology, where the key speakers were Vivekananda Sakhilati (Founder & CEO at Bloomsbay.in), Vaibhav Sisinty (Co-founder at CrazyHead Solutions) and Sudhakar Vintha (Founder & CEO at Return Trucks).

On October 20, 2015 the EAD will be conducted at Poornima University, Jaipur and Babu Banarasi Das University, Lucknow. Key speakers being Rajneesh Bhandari (President TiE Rajasthan), Amit Jain (CEO & Founder, GirnarSoft & cardekho.com), Rajat Agarwal (CEO Gravita India) and Nishant Patni (Co-Founder Culture Alley) and Pawan Gupta (Co-Founder, Curofy), Smita Mishra (Founder and CEO, QAzone Infosystems), Rana Atheya (Founder CEO, Dogspot.in) and Alok Misra (CEO, Benchmark) respectively.
