MAH CET 2017 is going to be held on 4th and 5th March, 2017.
MAH CET 2017 or Maharashtra Common Entrance Test 2017 is a computer-based entrance test for admission to management courses like MBA, MMS, PGDM, etc. in the colleges of Maharashtra. Known as one of the most popular state-level entrance examinations in India, MAH CET examination is undertaken by thousands of candidates every year. A good MAH CET score is the key to get admission in the best management institutes of Maharashtra.
The Directorate of Technical Education or DTE is the apex body that conducts MAH CET examination every year. This organization has the authority to issue application form, admit cards as well as declare the results of MAH CET. All official notifications related to the examination are released by DTE.
The upcoming MAH CET 2017 exam is expected to be held on 4th and 5th March, 2017. Candidates will have to appear for the computer-based examination, which will comprise of 200 objective questions. The candidate performance will be judged in areas like Logical Reasoning, Verbal Ability/Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude and Abstract Reasoning.
MAH CET 2017 Application Forms:
The application forms for MAH CET 2017 will be available on the official website of DTE from 21st January 2017.Candidates will have to fill-in the application forms online before the last date i.e. 13th February, 2017 to be able to sit for the examination. Each candidate will be allowed to submit one application only. Candidate with multiple applications will be debarred from MAH CET exam.
The process of filling-in the application form will require candidates to first register themselves and generate an Application ID No. Candidates will also be required to upload a scanned copy of candidate’s signature and photograph. The application process will be considered complete only when the application fee is paid.
The last date to fill-in online application form is 13th February, 2017.
MAH CET 2017 Application Fee:
The application fee for MAH CET 2017 is anticipated to be INR 1000 for open category candidates and INR 800 for reserved category candidates based on MAH CET 2016 examination. Candidates can pay the application fee online through the process of Net Banking, Debit/ Credit cards or by generating an E-Challan. Candidates will have to deposit these E-Challans in any nearest branch of Axis Bank. Such candidates will be able to print their application form once the application fee is confirmed by DTE or the bank.
MAH CET 2017 Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible to apply for MAH CET 2017, candidates should have completed their graduation or should be in the final year/ semester of their graduate course from any recognized university. Moreover, general category candidates should have secured a minimum of 50% marks of aggregate in graduation while candidates from Maharashtra belonging to PWD or other reserved categories can apply with 45% marks of aggregate in graduation. Candidates who appeared for CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ ATMA/ ATMA can also apply for the exam against ALL India Seats.

MAH CET 2017 Exam Dates:
MAH CET 2017 examination is scheduled to take palce on 4th and 5th March, 2017. The examination will be conducted on two consecutive days so that all applicants can be accommodated. Candidates are expected to come for the examination as per the date and time slot allotted to them. Candidates should note that any requests to sit for the examination on non-allotted day or time slots will not be entertained by the authorities.

MAH CET 2017 Exam Pattern:
Candidates appearing for MAH CET 2017 exam will have to sit for the computer-based exam consisting of 200 multiple choice questions (MCQs), which have to be answered in 150 minutes. The paper will be divided in four different sections wherein 75 questions will be on Logical Reasoning, 25 questions on Abstract Reasoning, 50 questions on Quantitative Aptitude and the remaining 50 questions on Verbal Ability or Reading Comprehension. Every question will carry one mark and no marks will be deductedforgiving wrong answers.

MAH CET 2017 Syllabus:
The MAH CET 2017 exam question paper will consist of four different sections. Sound knowledge of the syllabus and proper preparation will help candidates clear the exam with a good score. The paper will consist of questions based on figures, diagrams and verbal reasoning. Such questions will test the Logical & Abstract Reasoning of the candidate by judging his/her speed of accurate thinking. Quantitative Aptitude section will consist of numerical questions like on percentage, ratios, charts, bar graphs, etc. The paper will also test the candidate’s Reading & Comprehension skills with unseen passage questions. Questions on language and grammar like synonyms, antonyms, sentence completion, vocabulary, etc. will also be a part of the exam paper.

MAH CET 2017 Admit Cards:
Candidates appearing for MAH CET 2017 can download their admit cards from 23rd February, 2017 onwards.Candidates will be required to affix their recent photograph on the printout of the admit card.
Each candidate shouldcarry their admit card to the exam centre along with an original photo ID proofto sit for MAH CET exam. Candidates reporting late or reporting without the admit card/ photo ID proof will not be allowed to give the examination. They should also note that E-Adhar Card or Ration Card will not be accepted as Photo ID proof.

MAH CET 2017 Results:
Results for MAH CET 2017 will be declared on 10th March 2017 on the official website of DTE and applicants will be able to view their results after entering their required details like date of birth and application form number. The result will contain thecandidate’s score as well as his/her percentile.

MAH CET 2017 Counselling:
DTE will announce the counselling procedure for MAH CET 2017 applicants after the declaration of results. The counselling process will take place through a Centralized Admission Process (CAP) involving four rounds. On the day of the counselling, candidates will be required to get their documents verified and inform the authorities about their choice of college. Admission fee payment in the allotted college will confirm thecandidate’s admission.

Applicants of MAH CET 2017 should follow a few tips to clear the exam with flying colours. The most important step is to be aware of the syllabus and start preparing for it in advance. Clearing the fundamental basics is the key to clearing the exam with a good score. To improve vocabulary and grammar, applicants should read newspapers and books. However, solving sample questions and giving mock test paper will help students understand the importance of time management while giving an exam.
