Blood Donation Drive at FMS
Vihaan, the Social Service Cell at Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) organized a blood donation drive in the campus in association with CoEthix for a new initiative - www.RedDrop365.com.

The blood donation drive was a huge success where in just 6 to 8 hrs there was a footfall of more than 100 volunteers. The drive not just witnessed participation from the students of FMS, but it also got participation from other Undergraduate Delhi university colleges like Hindu College, KMC etc.

In all 67 bags of blood were collected. Each bag of blood can be used to save up to three lives and thus effectively more than 200+ lives can be positively affected by the drive.

What made this event special was Vihaan's association with CoEthix for a new initiative - www.RedDrop365.com . The initiative was started by Sujit K Nair, an alumnus of FMS Delhi from the executive batch (LinkedIn). It is an initiative working towards an efficient and effective donor experience and promoting regular donations.

The project is working on creating a mechanism for blood information management by collaborating with blood banks and hospitals in India. The project aims to optimize blood collection and minimize blood wastage with the help of data analytics. All the volunteers who came forward to donate blood were enrolled in project Red drop 365.

FMS thanked each and every person who came out to donate blood and helped in making this event a success.
