FMS Delhi has announced its admission criteria for MBA 2018-20. It will consider scores of CAT 2017 along with good percentile in all the three sections. The last date to apply is November 20, 2017.

FMS MBA Admission 2018-20 Open

Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) University of Delhi has announced admission for its two year full time MBA program in MBA, MBA Executive and PhD programs. The admission to the flag ship MBA 2018-20 batch has started on 5th October 2017. As per the official announcement made by FMS, 20th November, 2017 is the last date of application. There is no entrance examination at FMS Delhi; it will only consider the scores of CAT 2017 in order to shortlist the candidates. So, the candidate who are planning to take admission at FMS Delhi MBA program 2018-20 are not only required to have a high percentile in Common Admission Test 2017, but also a high sectional percentile in all the three sections.

The overall performance of the candidates along with Extempore Speech and Personal Interview will convert a call to the MBA program. FMS Delhi is a very reputed B – school to offer MBA programs with quality education at very low fee. Faculty of Management Studies is among top ranked and among oldest B – schools in the county which  was established in Delhi University in 1954. As per the placement records of 2017, the annual placement increased to Rs. 20.6 lakhs per annum.

The candidates who are looking forward to apply for MBA program at FMS Delhi are required to apply online vai the link given in above. As per the selection criteria, FMS will consider score of CAT 2017 as the shortlisting criteria. One more thing to notice here is that FMS Delhi will not conduct any Group Discussion round for the final stage of admission process.  FMS Delhi will be calculate the composite scores of the candidates and will give 30%, 30% & 40% weightage for the sections QA, DILR and VRC respectively.

FMS Delhi MBA Admission Eligibility Criteria 

In order to apply for MBA at FMS Delhi, the candidates are required to have

  • A bachelor’s degree of three years in any academic discipline along with formal schooling of 12 years
  • The candidate must have scored at least 50% marks in graduation or equivalent to it.
  • Candidates belonging to OBC/PWD/CW category should have 45% marks and SC/ST candidates should have passing marks.
  • Candidates who are in the final year of their graduation can also apply.
  • FMS Delhi won’t consider any candidate for admission if s/he hasn’t taken Common Admission Test 2017.

Talking about the fee structure of Faculty of Management Studies Delhi, the candidates are required to pay the annual fee to the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi. The annual fee for MBA program is around Rs. 11,000. The total fee of the complete program is somewhere around Rs. 25000 which includes miscellaneous charges.

FMS Delhi MBA 2018-20 Selection Process

Once CAT 2017 result is declared, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in Common Admission Test 2017.

  • For the first stage of shortlisting the candidates for admission, FMS Delhi will give weightage to CAT 2017 along with sectional scores also which will be in 40%, 30%, and 30% ratio for VATC, DILR and Quant sections respectively.
  • FMS Delhi will award three admission marks to composite scores at the stage of shortlisting.
  • FMS Delhi will also consider candidates’ previous academic performance, work experience along with various factors.
  • At the final stage of MBA admission, candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in Extempore Speech and Personal Interview. Apart from scores of CAT 2017, FMS Delhi will also give weightage to the work performance and academic records of the candidates.

  • For FMS Delhi MBA 2018-20 registration, candidates need to follow the steps given below:
  • Candidates who are willing to apply for FMS Delhi MBA 2018-20 can click the link given above.
  • Once the link is clicked, it will direct to the application window from where the instructions can be followed to proceed ahead with FMS Delhi MBA admission process.
  • Then, the candidates are required to fill the application form along with correct details.
  • The details to be entered are name, date of birth, email, password, mobile number, gender, caste category, nationality, name of the guardians etc.
  • Ensure that all the information mentioned is correct. The contact details i.e. email address and the phone number should be active and working as these will be used for future purposes.
  • Once the application form is submitted successfully, there will be a mail sent to the registered email address with a verification link.
  • Candidates have to click on the verification link given in the link and need to follow the mentioned instructions in order to complete the registration process.
  • The candidates are required to upload scanned copies of their recent passport size photo and signature. The size shouldn’t exceed 50KB in JPEG format.
  • After the application form submission, application fee is to be paid. (Details are mentioned below).
  • Once the payment is done, an application acknowledgement form will be generated.
  • Along with the required documents, the candidates need to send application acknowledgement form to Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University by 28th February 2018.

Candidates, who are willing to apply for more than one program FMS Delhi, need to do separate registration and payment.  

There is no offline mode of application at FMS Delhi. It should be noted that in order to be eligible for FMS Delhi MBA, the candidates are required to appear in CAT 2017 test which is going to be conducted on 26th November 2017 by IIM Lucknow.

FMS Delhi MBA Application Fee Structure & Payment

The candidates who belong to general category are required to pay application fee which is Rs. 1000 whereas candidates of other categories need to make payment of Rs. 350 for application form. The candidates need to log in with the email and password created at the time of registration. The candidate needs to make payment of FMS Delhi MBA registration. They can make payment using credit or debit card or can also via online banking.

Understand the Composite Score for FMS Delhi MBA Cutoff 2018

In order to compute composite score for MBA admission, FMS Delhi will assign weightage to sectional scores of Quant, DILR and VARC. The sections DILR and Quant will be given 30% weightage whereas VARC will be assigned 40% weightage. 3 marks will be given to the female candidates.

As per the admission criteria of FMS Delhi MBA 2018-20, Extempore Speech and Personal Interview will be the main factors which will convert a call at FMS Delhi to MBA 2018-20.

It is mandatory to appear for CAT 2017 exam for the candidates who are planning to apply for FMS MBA programs. It is expected that cutoff of CAT 2017 at FMS should reach 98 and above percentile. Along with this high CAT 2017 percentile, the candidates are also required to have good sectional cutoff in all the sections.
