Candidates who appeared for the the Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) 2015 say that the General Knowledge paper was difficult.

Amidst tight security, the preliminary examination of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) was held at 52 centres in Bhopal on Sunday, 23rd August, 2015. A total of 46% of the registered candidates appeared in the examination.

The students seemed to be satisfied with the Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) while there were complaints regarding the general knowledge paper, since a large number of questions there were related to geography and economics.

Candidates of the government Sarojni Naidu Girls’ School, Sanjay Patel and Atul Patel said, “The GK paper was quite tough as most of the questions were from current affairs, geography and economics. Questions related to science and history were very few in number. But CSAT was easy for us.”

Another candidate Poonam Raghuvanshi, who came from Ashok Nagar, said, “I am happy that the test was more conceptbased to test the mental level of candidates.”

A visually-challenged candidate from Jhansi, Ceema Yadav said, “It was my first attempt. I felt the paper was balanced because I am an economics’ student.”

Exam coordinator divisional commissioner, SB Singh said, “The exam was conducted successfully at all centres. We have not received any complaint from the centres.”
