Graphic Era University have noticed a phenomenal growth in CTC this year as many industrial giants have selected candidates at lucrative packages. GEU has conducted placement and provide jobs to another 105 students recently. A total of 1207 students have been successfully placed in various reputed companies with good offers.
India’s top software company, Infosys, conducted placement for two days and selected 32 students from B. Sc (IT) and BCA department. The candidates were selected on the basis of an online test, which was followed by an interview. A total of 150 students appeared for the placement, out of which 52 made it to the final interview round. Out of these 52, 32 students were from GEU. Earlier this year Infosys had already selected 159 B.Tech students of GEU and GEHU.
Japan’s famous company Hitachi has offered a package of 3 LPA this year to selected students. Alongside this, eight students of B.Tech CS and IT of GEU, 7 students of MBA have secured position in Haritdhara, New Delhi at an annual package of 4.80 lakh while LLyods Ventures, Gurgaon has selected 5 students of BBA and B.Com at an annual package of 3.60 lakh. Along with this, International Publication, Sage has selected seven students from BBA, B.Com and Mass Communication for its Dehradun Unit.
British Telecom has selected 21 students from BBA and B.Com, 12 MBA students have been placed in Supertech, six students from BBA in Think & Learn, Zycus Infotech, Mumbai has selected four students from B. Tech and Yatra Softech has selected three students from B. Tech CS & IT.
Earlier as part of the campus placement drive, more than a dozen companies including Wipro, Yamaha Motors, Accenture, CSC and Vodafone have visited the campus and selected 1102 students of GEU and GEHU.
The head of the Placement Cell Rajesh Pokhriyal said that the placement process is currently on and four more industrial giants have confirmed their visit to GEU. Members of the placement committee Girish Lakhera, Komal Rahi and Shailendra Pundir have played a significant role in conducting this drive smoothly.
