GGSIPU to Conduct First Counselling for MBA is Disaster Management

GGSIPU will conduct the first counselling for MBA (Disaster Management) on August 19, 2016. Get the details here.

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprstha University will host the first counselling for admission to MBA in Disaster Management programme for the academic year 2016-17 on August 19, 2016.
 
The candidates should report at Centre for Disaster Management Studies, E-Block, room no. 105 (1st floor).
 
Documents Required at the Time of Counselling:
 
The candidates are required to submit following documents at the time of counselling-
  • Four recent passport size photographs
  • Demand draft of INR 81,000 drawn in the favour of ‘Registrar, Guru Gobind Singh lndraprastha University’, payable at Delhi

With global warming, disasters seem to be getting more common, necessitating the need for Disaster Management, which helps create a structured plan to cope with the event and bring about normalcy. Because of its increasing importance, today Disaster Management is being offered as an MBA degree as well.

 
Students who pursue this course can explore their career in the fields like emergency services, relief groups, law enforcement department, and local authorities. They can also deal with the private agencies and non-profit organizations dealing with disaster management services. International agencies like United Nations also appoint disaster management professionals as trainees, assistants, experts, researchers, analysts, engineers, medical health experts, environmental experts, rehabilitation workers etc.
