Mr. Vipin Upadhyay, Regional Marketing Manager, Videocon Industries Ltd., was invited to deliver to the future marketing managers of India!

 
 
 
 
Jaipuria Institute of Management - Indore has always been inclined towards providing field knowledge to its students and what is better than words directly coming from the horse’s mouth. Mr. Vipin Upadhyay, Regional Marketing Manager, Videocon Industries Ltd., was invited to deliver to the future marketing managers of India.
 
He started the session with the basics of Consumer Behavior, talking about who are consumers and customers and how do they differ. He facilitated the students with some real market facts and figures. He further moved on to the product adoption process, its classes and share percentage in market. Under the model of consumer behavior, he talked about the 4 P’s of marketing, Buyer’s Black Box and Buyer’s response model. He added that the market for consumer durables is not good these days. People are scared of recession, and are thus trying to save money.
 
 
 
 
 
Further, the discussion was carried on to White goods and Brown goods, brand market share and factors influencing consumer behavior.
 
While answering to the questions of students, he emphasized on make in India concept and elaborated its great impact over the companies and their promotion. Referring to the Online Marketing carried out by Videocon, he said that they consider dealers as an integral part of their extended family, although they are into Online Marketing, through various websites. They also provide their distributers a considerable amount of product to sustain in the market.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Innovation and keeping up with new technologies is a must to be in competition.
 
 
Although Mr. Upadhyay was very keen to answer the question of every student, but as every good thing comes to an end and so did his session, with a promise that he will answer each and every query of students on email and through phone. The session was coordinated by Dr. Romi Sainy.
