A Guided Walk Organised by ‘The History Society’, St. Stephen's College, Delhi

The History Society of St. Stephen’s College conducted a guided walk to Jahanpanah- Bijay Mandal and Begampur Mosque on Friday, August 28, 2015

 

The History Society of St. Stephen’s College organised a guided walk to Jahanpanah-Bijay Mandal and Begampur Mosque on Friday, August 28, 2015 led by Mr. Vikramjit Singh Rooprai, Youth for Heritage. The students got to know about the heritage and the history related to the mosque.

 

 

The students were full of energy and enthusiasm for the visit. They assembled at the Main Portico from where the troop left for the venue. Bijai Mandal - aka Qasr-i-Hazaar Sutoo.N (Palace of Thousand Pillars) was the place from where the first walk of the academic session of St. Stephen’s College started. This walk was open only for the students of St. Stephen’s College. 

 

About the College:

St. Stephen’s College, Delhi, Church of North India, is the College affiliated to University of Delhi. It offers numerous courses at under graduate and post graduate level. St. Stephen’s also offers degree in liberal arts and sciences. The college is located in the North Campus, University Enclave. The college was first affiliated to Calcutta University, later on to Punjab University and after the establishment of University of Delhi; it became one of its three main constituent colleges.
