XLRI Jamshedpur is going to conducte Xavier’s Aptitude Test 2018 on 7th January 2018. The institute conducts XAT 2018 every year in order to shortlist candidates for admission to its management courses. This is a national level examination and there are more than 100 B – schools which accept the scores of XAT. With less time left in hands for preparation of XAT 2018, candidates now need to brace themselves and start preparing hard in order to crack XAT 2018 in 3 months. As XAT syllabus 2018 is very wide and covers many topics, candidates need to divide their days as per the preparation strategy in order to score well in XAT 2018 in 90 days. Now, it is the time when the candidates should follow a schedule of 90 days XAT 2018 preparation strategy. As per the previous exam trends of XAT, it has been observed that every year there are some changes in the exam pattern of XAT. If we talk about XAT 2015 and XAT 2015, they differed from each other. Though, XAT 2016 pattern was followed same in XAT 2017, there are possibilities of some changes in terms of total questions.

The total time duration of XAT 2018 is 210 minute. Candidates have to do 78 questions which are sectioned in four parts. Every correct question will carry one single mark. The four sections of XAT 2018 are listed below:

  • General Knowledge and Essay

If we talk about other competitive entrance examinations such as SNAP, CAT or CMAT, there is no essay and Decision Making section. The very first step is to invest at least five hours of study with full concentration is a must. Every day go through the editorial section of newspapers such as The Economist, The Hindu, The Wall Street Journal etc.

Once you start taking XAT Mocks, it is very important to analyze them. Once you finish one mock test, analyze your score and performance in accordance with every question, check if you started with suitable approach or not to solve the questions. Check which were the questions you left unanswered. This way, you can easily identify your weaker areas. While it comes to preparing XAT 2018 in three months, you should always implement the ‘time vs. target’ concept, which means to complete any topic in a given time limit. And for this, you need to stick with the action plan so that you can score well in XAT 2018 in 90 days.

You aren’t required to do all the questions but at the same time, you have to maximize the correct attempts, minimizing your incorrect attempts. You should know that even if you attempt half of the questions correctly, you can reach somewhere around 97 to 98 percentile. It is always better to prepare smartly rather studying round the clock. XAT preparation in 90 days needs intelligent approach so that you can achieve good marks in short time.
