IBSAT Exam Pattern

IBSAT Exam Pattern 2017 – ICFAI has prescribed Business Studies Aptitude Test exam pattern 2017 for admission in several MBA and other management courses in its all campuses.  It is very important for the IBSAT aspirants to understand the exam pattern of IBSAT 2017 before they apply for IBSAT exam 2017. It is expected IBSAT exam pattern will be similar to previous year’s exam patter of IBSAT. If candidates can easily understand IBSAT exam pattern, it will become easy for them to prepare for IBSAT properly. There will be four sections in IBSAT i.e. quantitative aptitude, verbal ability, data interpretation and reading comprehension. A total of 125 questions will be asked as per exam pattern of IBSAT 2017. This is an online computer based exam and is free from negative markings. IBSAT exam will be conducted on from 21st December to 24th December 2017. In order to crack IBSAT 2017, the aspirants need to prepare action plan on the basis of exam pattern of IBSAT 2017.                                                             

Candidates appearing for the test should go through the exam pattern of IBSAT 2017. This will help them to prepare in a better way and so as in getting a good rank. The registration process of IBSAT 2017 has been started from July 1. Interested candidates can apply online or offline. The entrance test will be conducted in a four-day window from December 21 to December 24th, 2017.

IBSAT Exam Pattern 2017: Marking Scheme​

Along with the exam pattern, it is important to know the marking scheme of IBSAT 2017. Each question will carry one mark. Marks will not be deducted for any wrong attempt i.e. no negative marking. So candidates can attempt all the number of questions and make guesses too.

IBSAT Exam pattern 2017: Section in Detail​

Verbal Ability:

This section consists of a total of 50 questions. This section is quite lengthy and time taking and it checks the command the candidate has on his/her vocabulary and skills and knowledge about the English Language. This section will consist of the maximum number of question from the test.

Reading Comprehension:

In this section, three passages will be given and around seven to eight questions will be framed around each passage. Here the questions are direct and they require factual answers. This is the section where the candidate is most likely to score well. This section will have 25 questions.

Quantitative Aptitude:

This section will measure the mathematical ability and problem-solving skills of the candidates. Questions will be asked on the topics like algebra, LCM, HCF, ratio & proportion, geometry, time & speed, figures, probability, simple & compound interest. This section is designed to check the numerical skills of the candidate. Questions are asked from:

  • Arithmetic Problems
  • Coordinate Geometry
  • Geometry
  • Discount
  • Mensuration
  • Percentages
  • Probability

The above-mentioned list includes only some topics. Several other similar topics are covered under this section. This section will have 25 questions.

Data Sufficiency and Data Interpretation:

This section will evaluate the candidate’s capability to solve problems based on complex data. Questions will be based on pie charts, tables, bar/line graphs etc. This section includes questions from three topics:

  • Logical Reasoning- 5 questions
  • Data Sufficiency- 15 questions
  • Data Interpretation - 5 questions
