IGNOU announces admission to MBA in Banking and Finance Programme

IGNOU announces the commencement of admission to the MBA Banking and Finance programme from the academic session starting January 2018.

On Monday, the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) announced the commencement of admissions to its Masters of Business Administration (MBA) programme in the Banking and Finance field through the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode for the new academic session that is to begin in the month of January 2018.

The Application Form for this course can be downloaded from the University website and a fee of INR 1000/- in the form of Demand Draft is to be submitted along with the form in addition to the Programme fee. The last date for submission of the filled-in Application forms at the regional centers is December 29, 2017.

Also, the aspirants can avail the ‘Student Handbook and Prospectus of MBA (Banking & Finance) – 2017-18’ from the Director, Student Service Centre (SSC), IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi- 110068 or from any of the Regional Centres designated by IGNOU, in person or on payment of INR 1000/- in cash, or through post by sending a Demand Draft of INR 1050/-. The last date to request the supply of student handbook by post is November 30, 2018.

The programme has been developed by a joint venture between the School of Management Studies, IGNOU and the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF), Mumbai and is specifically designed for professionals working in Banks. The programme is offered through countrywide network of IGNOU’s study centers and its implementation will be through the standard IGNOU multi-media design and technology aided delivery systems.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • The eligibility criteria of this programme demand that a candidate aspiring to pursue this course should be a graduate of not less than 3 years from a recognised university or institution.
  • The aspirants should have passed the Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB) examinations of the IIBF and received the requisite qualification or credentials by the institute.
  • Moreover, the candidates should have a work experience of at least 2 years in the banking or the financial services sector.
