IIBM Celebrated IFEST-2016 with Great Zeal

IFEST 2016 was organised on 29th and 30th January 2016 at the main campus of Indira Institute of Business Management, Navi Mumbai

Indira Institute of Business Management, Sanpada, Navi Mumbai hosted a two-day intercollegiate festival IFEST-2016- Istaleo- Passion for Excellence on 29th and 30th Jan’16 at its campus. IFEST-2016 decided on “Istaleo” as a theme so that the participants could achieve and showcase excellence through their exceptional talent by being a part of IFEST 2016.

The festival was inaugurated by Mr. K Thomas- Honorable Secretary-VES, on 29th Jan’16 at 11.15am. The honorable Secretary - Mr. K Thomas batted for ‘The Mumbai Bellies’- Box Cricket event followed by Ms. Faizy Viju, Human Resource Manager, Dr. Susy Kuriakose, Principal-Western College and Dr. Sapna Modi, Director in-charge IIBM. Students along with the teaching and non-teaching staff were present for the event.

‘Sports Day’ was celebrated on 29th Jan 2016. Outdoor games like Box Cricket, Volleyball, Rink Football, Relay with Obstacles, Arm Wrestling, Hold a Brick, Angry Bird, Hit the Bull's Eye, Tug of War were the attractions of the day. Sports Day also marked indoor games like Carrom- Singles & Doubles, Chess, Table Tennis.

Other activities included Mono Acting, Stand Up Comedy, T-Shirt Painting, Mehandi, Nail Art, Tattoo, Face Painting, Charcoal Sketching, Poster Making, Admad, Stocks and Financial Games. The event also included Counter Strike, Management games like Business Plan, Spin a Yarn, Debate, PPT Presentation, Brand Dumb Charades and Biz Quiz.

Students from various colleges like VPM- Joshi Bedekar College, Modern College, Western College, Father Agnel, Ramanand Arya D.A.V.College, New Horizons College (NHCC), Sterling College and BFC College participated in the Sports Day events.

IIBM celebrated its cultural evening on 30th Jan 2016 “ISTALEO-Blue Thunders”. Mr. K Thomas, Honorable Secretary - VES Trust inaugurated the cultural evening and addressed the students. Ms. Shruti Mohan (SYMMS-Student) and Mr. Shrijith Mohan (a professional Bharatnatyam dancer and an active participant of various dance reality shows) performed a beautiful inaugural vandana.

The cultural program attracted participation from various colleges in and around Mumbai for the singing competition, dance competition and fashion show.

The events were judged by Mr. Sanket Shirke, Mr. Shrijith Mohan and Ms. Swapna Menon. The winners of Sports Day and Cultural Day were felicitated with trophies, medals and gifts. The program was concluded with a vote of thanks.

The team of Prof. Ketaki Ghatole- cultural committee coordinator, Ms. Swpana Chuadhari, General Secretary, Mr. Rinto Mathew, Deputy General Secretary and Ms Ria Agrawal, Lady representative, along with other committee members exerted efforts in making this grand event a success.
