254 students have been placed in seven days, making it the best placement season for the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT)
Four students of the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi have reportedly bagged a package of Rs. 1 crore or more at this year’s placement drive. The domestic package has considerably seen an upsurge by 21% at 29 lakhs per annum.
As per the officials of IIFT, the average placement package increased to Rs. 18.01 lakh this year. The B-School has achieved the feat of 100% placement in seven days with the largest ever batch of 254 students. With 15 international job proposals, one-fourth of the batch has also received pre-placement offers (PPOs).
Big companies like Amazon, Cognizant Business Consulting, JP Morgan, State Bank of India, Goldman Sachs, Vodafone, IDFC Bank, Wipro, HCL, Citibank and ICICI Bank etc. were among the top recruiting firms to have hired a large number of IIFT students.
The B-School also welcomed some fresh recruiters like Nivea, Pernod Ricard, 3M, British Telecom, Tata Sky, Synergy Consulting, General Motors, TGI Group, IDFC Bank this year, who have offered exciting offers to the students of IIFT for the first time.
International recruiters such as Tanzania, Nigeria, Middle East, Thailand and Hong Kong were also a part of this year’s placement drive at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade. According to Sanjay Verma, Placement Advisor at IIFT, recruiters like AluZinc Asia, Louis Dreyfus and Swiss Singapore have reinforced IIFT as one of the best trade schools in Asia.
Giant tech companies like Google, IBM, HP, Adobe, SAP India also showed their existence at IIFT. Other than that, some of the leading e-Commerce companies like Flipkart, Amazon, ShopClues, CarDekho, Bluestone and Play games24x7 have also remarkably hired students from the B-School.
