IIM Ahemdabad Summer Placement Programs: Cluster 1 Witnessed 35 Firms, Accenture Synergy made 19 Offers

IIM Ahmedabad finished its Cluster 1 summer placement program. Cluster 1 and Cluster 2 are scheduled to take place on November 9 & 12 respectively.

The first summer placements process cluster held at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad finished successfully on 6th November 2017 for PGP class of 2019. A large number of recruiters participated and walked in the summer placement program at the management institute. As per the reports, the top recruiter was Accenture Strategy with a total of 19 offers. Over 35 companies have been reported to take part in the placement program.

Several companies walked in and recruited students in the campus cluster 1 including management consulting companies, marketing & investment banking firms, private equity, hedge funds and venture capital companies etc.

According to a statement given by IIM Ahmedabad,

“We saw a large pool of recruiters in this space. More than 35 firms participated in Cluster 1. Accenture Strategy was the top recruiter with 19 offers.”

Top global firms in consulting sectors were Bain & Co., Monitor Deloitte, McKinsey & Co., AT Kearney, The Boston Consulting Group etc. In the sector of investment banking companies like Credit Suisse, HBSC, Morgan & Stanley, JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch, Bank of America etc. offered jobs to the students.

5 offers were made by Citibank and Avendus Capital in various roles. There was active participation in VC and PE domain as well this year with Temasek, Multiples Equity, True North, Kedaara Capital etc. In asset management domain, Balyasny Asset Management and DSP Blackrock were the top recruiters. The 2nd and  3rd cluster of IIM Ahmedabad summer placement process will take place on 9th November and 12th November respectively.
